The YSR Congress Party has said it would take the fight against the TDP policy of opting for Swiss challenge to Delhi as the Swiss Challenge will only help the Singapore company and not the people of the capital region.
“Despite the experts committee rejecting the Swiss Challenge and the Supreme Court expressing its displeasure, Chandrababu Naidu has been insisting on Swiss Challenge only to benefit the Singapore companies and his coterie,” party MLA RK Roja told reporters on Tuesday.
While Modi has been propagating “Make in India”, Chandrababu Naidu has been propagating “Take in India” as he has been ignoring domestic talent and going after foreign companies that too through unfair methods. “We will fight against the Swiss Challenge mode and press for global tenders to ensure transparency and take up the issue with the Prime Minister, she said. “We will fight it out as the unfair mode is being adopted only to benefit some foreign companies and TDP coterie in the name of capital building while leaving away the core issue. The Centre itself has said that it would be part of the capital building venture but the State has ignored it only for kickbacks,” she said.
“We will explore all forums to fight this injustice and urge the Centre to discourage the State’s policy as it put up a clause which states that the next government too cannot cancel the MoU unless it pays a heavy compensation, she said. (NSS)
