Yudhveer foundation award given to Vijay Veer Vidyalankar

Hyderabad: Yudhveer Foundation Memorial Award was instituted to commemorate the noted freedom fighter, Journalist and former Editor of Milap Hindi Daily published from Hyderabad. The 25th award function was held yesterday under the chairmanship of noted Urdu writer, Mr. Narendra Luther, IAS (Rtd.) and Chairman of Yudhveer Memorial Foundation. The function was held at KLN Prasad Auditorium of FICCI, Red Hills yesterday. Secretary General of TRS and Rajya Sabha MP, Dr. K. Keshav Rao gave this award. In his speech, Dr. Keshav Rao told that Telangana State was formed due to the continued struggle and sacrifices of four crore people of Telangana.

Continuing his speech, Dr. Keshav Rao told that Andhra Rulers had made the civilization of Telangana a mockery. In every field, people of Telangana were not getting justice. In Telugu films, Telugu language and culture were ridiculed. The economy of Telangana was destroyed. No major contractor was from Telangana region. Telugu film industry was in the hands of Andhra lobby. Not a single hero was taken from Telangana. In Telugu films, Telangana characters of beggars, peons, auto rickshaw drivers were presented. Telugu newspapers and Telugu TV channels were in the hands of Andhra Industrialists. Now that Telangana State has been formed, first and foremost we have to revive the language of Telangana and its culture. We have to set right the economy of Telangana. Many scheme have been formulated to improve health sector. Steps are being taken to provide clean drinking water. By redesigning Godavari projects, attempts are being made to irrigate 1 lakh acre land. In order to bring improvement in the field of education, education policy is being reviewed. Action is being taken against educational institutions which violates Govt. laws. Free education from KG to PG was announced. Steps were taken to provide uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours. Reforms were made in Police Dept.

Dr. Keshav Rao appealed to the people to write to the Govt. what they want. It is Govt. of the people. Now it is in the hands of the people of Telangana to transform it into Golden Telangana. He congratulated the foundation and its trustees to honour a Sanskrit scholar by giving this award.

At the beginning of the function, Mr. Narendra Luther, Chairman of the foundation welcomed the guests and told that two Prime Ministers, namely, Dr. Manmohan Singh, IK Gujral also received this award. Mr. Abid Ali Khan, founder Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily also received this award. Present on this occasion were Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily (Trustee of the foundation), Mr. Murli Dhar Gupta and Mr. Bajranglal Gupta.
