Yuvraj Singh plans to make biopic post retirement

New Delhi : Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been an inspiring figure not only because of his contributions to the sport of cricket, but also because of his victorious battle against cancer.

To narrate his story and inspire the youth, the cricket icon released a book titled, ‘The Test of My Life’ in 2013.

ANI spoke to Yuvi and asked him whether he would like to do a biopic.

The 34-year-old all-rounder said, “My priority is cricket for now. Of course, I would love to tell my story through a film but only when I would think of hanging my boots.”

Yuvi, who was present at the MTV Youth Marketing Forum 2016, also spoke about his own start-up foundation YouWeCan.

“Under YouWeCan, we have provided education to kids whose families have lost money for their kid’s cancer treatment. We have done over a lakh of cancer detections in rural areas and also, we have been able to generate 600 jobs till now. So, YouWeCan is heading the right way,” he said.

As far as cricket is concerned, Yuvi was off the ground for the past month because of injuries, but he said he is now fit and fine and will be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in a match on May 6. (ANI)
