Zahed Ali Khan to be felicitated today

‘Aiwan-e-Fankaar’ and ‘Fools Paradise’ are jointly organising a felicitation programme ‘Shaam-e-Saughaat’ in honour of Siasat editor, Mr. Zahed Ali Khan on getting ‘Muslim Mirror’ Lifetime Achievement award, on Saturday, 2nd April, 6 pm, at Urdu Hall, Himayat Nagar. Resident Editor of Times of India, Mr. Kingshuk Nag will preside over the function. Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana, Mr. Prashant Chintala, Resident Editor of The Hindu, Prof. Anees-ul-Haq (Nanded) and Mr. Abdul Raheem Khan, Secretary of Anjuman-e-Taraqqi-e-Urdu, Hyderabad will be the guests of honour.

Mr. Mustafa Ali Sarwari, Associate Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of MANUU, Mr. Mohammed Mahboob Khan Asghar will present papers on the personality of Mr. Zahed Ali Khan and the community services rendered by Siasat Urdu Daily.

Qari Syed Shaukatullah Ghouri will recite Quranic verses and Dr. Tayyab Pasha Quadri will present Naat. The students of Central Public School, Khilwat will present ‘Tarana’. Dr. Humaira Sayeed will welcome the guests. Dr. Moin Amar Bamboo will introduce the cultural organisations. Mr. Yousufuddin Yousuf will propose vote of thanks. Dr. Javeed Kamal, Convener of the function has appealed Urdu lovers to attend the function.

The felicitation programme will be followed by a comedy Mushaira, in which Mr. Waheed Pasha Quadri, Ms. Tasneem Jauhar, Mr. Lateefuddin Lateef, Mr. Yousufuddin Yousuf, Mr. Najeeb Ahmed Najeeb, Dr. Moin Amar Bamboo and Dr. Tayyab Pasha Quadri will enthrall the audience with their humorous poetry.
