ZH Javeed acquitted in drunken driving case, police failed to prove charges

Hyderabad: Police failed to prove charges against Zakir Husain Javeed. The court acquitted advocate Z H Javeed who was facing charges of drunken driving.

It must be recalled that Banjara Hills Traffic Police had caught All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Z H Javeed for driving in an inebriated condition at Banjara Hills in September. However police failed to prove the charges. When the Bar Council member was returning from a meeting of advocate police stopped him. Following police action Zakir Husain Javeed’s membership in Waqf Board was at stake.

It must be noted that Z H Javeed was the MIM candidate of Rajendra Nagar assembly constituency. He is the lone Muslim member of Bar Council. He is also Waqf Board member under Bar Council category.
