Hyderabad, August 21: Osman Mohammad Alhajari filed a writ against MIM leader Mr. Akbaruddin Owasi’s provocative speech delivered on the first Friday of Holy Ramadan at Makkah Masjid. In the writ Mr. Alhajari complained that he had submitted a complain at department of Minority Welfare dated 17-08-2011 against the speech of Chandrayangutta MLA demanding from the government to take action against the said provocative speech and cancel the permission given to Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen, under GO RT 174 dated 20-07-2011 the rules of which have been violated. He also demanded to cancel the permission given for the meeting on the last Friday of Ramadan i.e. on August 26. But the Department of Minority Welfare didn’t take any action on his complaint and the said party is trying to conduct meeting on the occasion of Jummat-ul-vida which needs to be cancelled. Hence Mr. Osman bin Mohammad Alhajari filed a writ petition no WPNo 23574/2007 in the high court.
Mr. Syed Kareemuddin Shakeel advocate argued for the petitioner and informed the court that Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi, MIM leader delivered a provocative political speech from the holy platform of Makkah masjid and tried to inflame the gathering. He incited them to take revenge of the attack and tried to gain political mileage from the holy place. He also threatened the opponents.
His speech is the violation of permission given by the government, while GO RT 174 dated 20-07-2011 strictly imposes conditions that the said meeting should not be used for political purposes however the MIM leader clearly violated the said GO. Hence it is necessary that the permission given to the said party should be cancelled immediately.
The honourable judge set 24-08-2011 as the date of further hearing. Mr. Syed Kareemuddin Shakeel also produced the CD of the said speech in the court and revealed that this CD is being sold in the market and also downloaded on YouTube.
