What is the Meaning of Eid Milad un Nabi

mashallah

we have to celebrate birthday of our prophet.

Milad-un-Nabi (صلى

Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)

The legal and religious status of celebrating the birth of Holy Prophet (Peace & Blessings be upon him) in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah:

And Indeed everyone rejoices except for Shaytan and his counterparts, because:

أن إبليس رن أربع رنات حين لعن وحين أهبط وحين ولد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وحين أنزلت الفاتحة

Translation: Iblis cried loudly four times, first when Allah declared him as cursed, second when he was thrown out, Third When Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was born and fourth when Surah al-Fatiha was revealed [Ibn Kathir in Al Bidayah wan-Nihayah, Volume No. 2, Page No. 166]

Note: The above is a small introduction, the Qati'i (absolute) and clear proofs start from below which is a must read In shaa'Allah.

Muslims rejoice on birth of Prophet (Peace & Blessings be upon him) because Allah has told us to rejoice on His "Bounties and Mercies" This following text shall be based on

a) Qur'an and it's sciences

b) Hadith literature

c) Sayings of eminent scholars and fuqaha

d) Counter refutation of claims made against Mawlid.

a) Understanding through Al-Qur'an wal Furqan and It's sciences

Proof No.1

Qur'an states:

قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ

Translation: Say: "In the bounty of God. And in His Mercy, in that "LET THEM REJOICE" : that is better than the (wealth) they hoard (Surah Yunus, 10:58)

Some might think in their wildest of imaginations that birth and arrival of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is not a mercy, some even falsely limit the Mercies of Allah by saying that mercy mentioned here does not refer to Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam) thus we should not rejoice, so in reply to such people the best answer is found in Tafsir of Qur'an through Qur'an itself.

Qur'an states at another place:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

Translation: We have not sent you but as a “Mercy to the worlds” (Surah al-Anbiya, 21:107)

Hence without any shadow of doubt arrival of Prophet (Peace & Blessings be upon him) is a mercy not only upon us but all worlds and creations of Allah azza Wajjal, thus we should rejoice as ordered in Qur'an (10:58)

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi (rah) explains 10:58 in his Tafsir:

أن فضل الله: العلم، ورحمته: محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، رواه الضحاك عن ابن عباس.

Translation: ad-Dhahak narrated from Ibn Abbas (ra) that Bounty mentioned in this verse means Knowledge (i.e of Qur'an and Tawhid) whereas Mercy means Muhammad (Salallaho alaihi wasalam) [Ibn Jawzi Z'ad al Maseer fi Ilm at Tafsir, (4/40)]
Imam Abu Hayyan al Andalusi (Rahimuhullah) also says:

الفضل العلم والرحمة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم

Translation: Bounty refers to Knowledge whereas Mercy refers to Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam)[Tafsir Al-Bahr al Muheet, (5/171)]

Imam Jalal uddin Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) says

وأخرج أبو الشيخ عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما في الآية قال: فضل الله العلم، ورحمته محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال الله تعالى
{ وما أرسلناك إلا رحمة للعالمين }
[الأنبياء: 107].

Abu Sheikh (rah) narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) That Bounty of Allah means Knowledge, whereas Mercy means Muhammad (Salallaho alaihi wasalam) Allah Ta'ala said: We have sent thee not but as Mercy to Worlds (Al Anbiya: 107) [As-Suyuti in Dur al Manthur (4/330)]

Allama Aloosi (rah) explains that even Fadhl (i.e. bounty) refers to Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wassalam)

وأخرج الخطيب وابن عساكر عنه تفسير الفضل بالنبـي عليه الصلاة والسلام

Narrated by Al Khatib (rah) and Ibn Asakir (rah) that Bounty refers to An-Nabi (Alaih Salatu Wassalam)[Al-Alusi in Ruh al Ma’ani (11/141)]

Proof No. 2 Qur'an states

ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

That is the bounty of Allah; which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty (وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ )
(62:4)
Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Radhi Allah) explains “Allah is of infinite bounty” as:

(Allah is of infinite bounty) by bestowing Islam and prophethood upon Muhammad (pbuh); and it is also said this means: by bestowing Islam upon the believers; and it is also said this means: by sending the Messenger and Scripture to His created beings. [Tanwir al Miqbas Min Tafsir Ibn Abbas]

Proof No. 3 Qur'an states regarding Yahya (a.s):

وَسَلَامٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا

Translation: So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)! [Surah al-Maryum, (19:15)]

So the days when Anbiya are born are days of "Tranquility" in sight of Allah.

Proof No. 4 Qur'an states:

We sent Moses with Our signs (and the command). "Bring out thy people from the depths of darkness into light, and teach them to remember the “Days of Allah (بِأَيَّامِ اللَّهِ)." Verily in this there are Signs for such as are firmly patient and constant,- grateful and appreciative. (14:5)

What are the Ayyam of Allah? Imam al-Bayhaqi narrates in his Shu'ab al Iman that Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: The Days of Allah are his "Blessings and Signs" [Tafsir Ruh ul Ma’ani under 14:5]

Istadlal from Ahadith

Proof No.1

Book 006, Number 2606 (Sahih Muslim)

Abu Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Massenger (may peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

This Hadith is also reported in by Imam al-Bahayqi in his “Sunnan ul Kubra” (Vol. 4, pg. 300 Hadith no 8182, 8259), in the “Sunan” of Imam Nisai and the “Musnad” of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal.

It is clear from this Hadith that the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) was very happy about the day of his birth and so fasted out of gratitude. Fasting is a form of worship, so one can celebrate this day by any form of ibada. One can fast or hold gatherings or provide food to the poor, all being acts of worship.

Proof No.2

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 38: (Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated 'Ursa; Thuwaiba was the freed slave girl of Abu Lahb whom he had manumitted, and then she suckled the Prophet. When Abu Lahb died, one of his relatives saw him in a dream in a very bad state and asked him, "What have you encountered?" Abu Lahb said, "I have not found any rest since I left you, except that I have been given water to drink in this (the space between his thumb and other fingers) and that is because of my manumitting Thuwaiba."

Abu Lahab freed Thuwaiba on joy at birth of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam), even the worst of Kufaar and greatest of enemies is given relaxation in his Adhaab due to freeing Thawaiba by pointing with his finger, so Imagine the situation of a momin who rejoices on Mawlid, detailed explanation of this hadith shall be given in the last section of Verdicts from classical scholars.

Proof No.3

Volume 2, Page No. 147, Hadith No. 1130 (Sahih Muslim, Dar ul Kutab al ILmiyyah)

Ibn Abbas “Allah be pleased with him” reported: The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upon him” came to Madina and saw the Jews fasting on the tenth day of Muharram. They were asked about that. They replied: “This is the day, on which Allah made Moses and the children of Israel emerge victorious over Pharoah. So, we fast on it “OUT OF GLORIFICATION TO IT”. The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upin him” said: “We have more claim over Moses than you.” So, he ordered Muslims to fast on it

If Jews glorify their days to venerate Musa (a.s) then we Muslims have more right to venerate and rejoice on day when Prophet (saw) was born, this is an accepted analogy as Ulama have derived this specific ruling from the hadith, which shall be mentioned in the last section with detail.

Proof No.4

Volume 1, Page No. 241, Hadith No. 448 (Sunnan an Nasai’i)

Hadrat Anas bin Malik (RA) narrates that Prophet (Peace be upon him) while mentioning his journey of Miraaj explains: Jibreel (a.s) asked me to get off from Buraak at Bethlehem and told me to say the prayer there, after which he said: Do you know where you have prayed (O Messenger of Allah)? You prayed at Bethlehem where Isa (a.s) "was born".

Imam al-Bayhaqi (rah) narrated this hadith with a different route too from another Sahabi called "Shaddad bin Aws (RA). After narrating it he said:

هذا إسناد صحيح

Translation: This Sanad is "SAHIH" [al-Bayhaqi in Dalayl un Nubuwah (2/355-356)]

So the Mawlid and the places where Prophets (A.S) are born are amongst Sha’ir (sings to be venerated) of Allah.

Proof from righteous Ulama and Fuqaha

1. Imam Ibn Kathir (Rahimuhullah) - The scholar revered most highly by Salafis/Wahabis in Tafsir & History.

He says regarding Shah Malik al-Muzzafar (rah) the brother in law of Salah-ud-din Ayyubi (rah) the great warrior of Islam respected by all. Regarding this great personality the Salafis spread deception by forging words of Ibn Kathir (rah) i.e. he was actually a Fasiq, cruel and Bidati ruler (Naudhobillah) but in reality Imam Ibn Kathir (rah) said this:

Translation: He was a generous, mighty master, and glorious ruler, whose works were very good.He built Jamiya al Muzaffari near Qasiyun…During Rabi ul Awwal he used to celebrate Mawlid ash Shareef (يعمل المولد الشريف في ربيع الاول) with great celebration, Moreover, he was benevolent, brave, wise, a scholar, and just person – Rahimuhullah wa Ikraam – Sheikh Abul Khattab (rah) wrote a book on Mawlid an Nabwi for him and named it At-Tanwir fi Mawlid al Bashir al Nazeer, for which he gave him 1000 dinars. His rule stayed till the Rule of Salahiya and he captured Aka and he remained a man worthy of respect.

Al-Sabt mentions that a person attending the gathering of Mawlid held by Muzzafar said: He used to fill the table with 5000 well cooked goats, 10,000 chickens, 100-thousand bowls (of milk) and 30,000 trays of sweets. [Tarikh Ibn Kathir, Al Bidayah Wan Nihaya Volume 13, Page No. 174]

2. Imam Shahab-ud-din Abul Abbas al-Qastallani (Rahimuhullah) the author of great Seerah book called Al-Muwahib al-Laduniya, he said:

When it is said that Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was born at night time then the question arises which of the two nights is greater i.e. Night of Decree or Night of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam)'s birth?

The Night of Prophet (Peace be upon him)'s birth is superior due to 3 reasons

First: He (salallaho alaihi wasalam) arrived (in this world) on the Night of Mawlid whereas Night of decree was granted to him (afterwards), therefore the arrival of Prophet (Peace be upon him) is greater than what has been granted to him, hence night of Mawlid is higher in virtue.
Second: If Night of decree is vitreous night because Angels descend in it, then Night of Mawlid has the virtue of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) being sent to world. The Prophet (saw) is superior to Angels, therefore night of Mawlid becomes superior.

Third: Due to night of decree, the Ummah of Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was given imminence, whereas due to Night of Mawlid all creations were given Fazilah, as Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is sent as Mercy to worlds/creations (Quran 21:107), hence the blessing was made general for all creations.

Reference: Imam Qastallani – Rahimuhuillah in Al Muwahib al Laduniya Volume 1, Page No. 145, Also Imam Zarqani – Rahimuhullah in his Sharah of Al-Muwahib, Volume 1, Page Nos 255-256

Imam Qastallani (Rahimuhullah) also said: May Allah have mercy on the one who turns the nights of the month of the Prophet's birth into celebration in order to decrease the suffering of those whose hearts are filled with disease and sickness."[Al-Muwahib- Volume 1, Page No 148]

3. Imam Jalal ud din Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) the Mujaddad (reviver) of 9th century writes:

Translation: The reality of Mawlid is that people gather to recite Quran to the extent that is easy, also to discuss narrations which are regarding Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam), the signs which took place on his birth. Then dinning is arranged for them and they return without adding anything more to this "Bidat al Hasanah". The one who arranges it gets Thawab due to honoring Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) and showing gratitude on his birth [As-Suyuti – Rahimuhullah in Al Hawi lil Fatawi, Volume 1, Page No. 292, Published by Maktaba al Asriya, Beirut, Lebanon]

►[Husn al-Maqsad fi Amal al-Mawlid Page No. 41]

Imam Jalal ud din Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) answers why celebrating on birth supercedes the sorrow of Prophet (saw) passing away on same date.

Translation: The birth of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is a great blessing for us and his death is very saddening for us too, however Shariah has ordered us to rejoice and thank Allah on blessings, whereas on calamity it has taught us to have patience while hiding it, this is why Shariah has told us to do Aqiqa on birth which is a form of being happy and thankful to Allah for giving us birth, but on death there is no concept of sacrificing an animal and even lamenting is forbidden. Hence in light of rulings prescribed by shariah one should rejoice in Rabi ul Awwal on birth of our beloved Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) [Husn al-Maqsad fi Amal al-Mawlid Page No. 54-55]

Note: The day of Prophet (Peace be upon him)'s demise is not 12th Rabi ul Awwal as wrongly perceived by some people due to books like "Sealed Nector" The authentic day of his demise is proven to be 2nd Rabi ul Awwal from Sahih narrations.

4. Sheikh ul Islam and hadith Master of his age, Ibn Hajr Asqalani

The Sheikh ul Islam and hadith Master of his age, Ibn Hajr Asqalani was asked about the practice of commemorating the birth of the Prophet, and gave the following written reply: As for the origin of the practice of commemorating the Prophet's birth, it is an innovation that has not been conveyed to us from any of the pious early muslims of the first three centuries, despite which it has included both features that are praisweorthy and features that are not. If one takes care to include in such a commemoration only things that are praiseworthy and avoids those that are otherwise, it is a praise worthy innovation, while if ones does not, it is not. An authentic primary textual basis from which its legal validity is inferable has occured to me, namely the rigorously authenticated (sahih) hadith in the collections of Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet came to Medina and found the Jews fasting on the tenth of Muharram `Ashura ' [Husn al-Maqsad fi Amal al-Mawlid Page No. 63] [Continued in Next Page No 64]

So he asked them about it and they replied: "It is the day on which Allah drowned Pharaoh and rescued Moses, so we fast in it to thanks to Allah Most high," which indicates the validity of giving thanks to Allah for the blessings He has bestowed on a particular day in providing a benefit, or averting an affliction, repeating one's thanks on the anniversary of that day every year, giving thanks to Allah taking * any various forms of worship such as prostration, fasting, giving charity or reciting the Koran. Then what blessing is greather than the Birth of the Prophet, the Prophet of Mercy, on this day? in light of which, one should take care to commemorate it on the day itself in order to confrom to the above story of moses and the tenth of Muharram, [but] those who do not view the matter thus do not mind commemorating it on any day of the month, while some have expanded its time to any of day the year, whatever exception bay e taken at such a view. [Husn al-Maqsad fi Amal al-Mawlid Page No. 64]

I have derived the permissibility of Mawlid from another source of the Sunna [besides Ibn Hajar's deduction from the hadith of `Ashura'], namely :The hadith found in Bayhaqi, narrated by Anas, that "The Prophet slaughtered a `aqiqa [sacrifice for newborns] for himself after he received the prophecy," although it has been mentioned that his grandfather `Abd al-Muttalib did that on the seventh day after he was born, and the `aqiqa cannot be repeated. Thus the reason for the Prophet's action is to give thanks to Allah for sending him as a mercy to the worlds, and to give honor to his Umma, in the same way that he used to pray on himself. It is recommended for us, therefore, that we also show thanks for his birth by meeting with our brothers, by feeding people, and other such good works and rejoicing." This hadith confirms the aforementioned hadith of the Prophet's emphasis of Monday as the day of his birthday and that of his prophethood. [Husn al-Maqsad fi Amal al-Mawlid Page No. 64-65]

5. Imam Shams-ud-din Dimishqi (Rahimuhullah) writes:

Translation: It is proven that Abu Lahab's punishment of fire is reduced on every Monday because he rejoiced on brith of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) and freed the slave-woman Thawba (RA)When Abu Lahab, whose eternal abode is hell fire and regarding whom whole surah of Tabat Yada (i.e. Surah Lahab) was revealed, he gets Takhfif in his Adhaab every Monday then Imagine the situation of a (momin) who has spent his life in rejoicing over birth of Prophet (saw) and died as a Mawhid [ Mawrid as Sadi Fi Mawlid al Hadi by Imam al-Dimishqi and Imam Suyuti in Hassan al Maqsad fi Amal al Mawlid, Page No. 66]

Imam Shams-ud-din Dimishqi Writes: Page No. 66

6. Imam Ibn Jawzi (Rahimuhullah) the most strict scholar in al-Jarh wa't Tadeel, even he wrote a complete book on Mawlid where he said:

In Haramayn (i.e. Makkah and Madina), in Egypt, Yemen rather all people of Arab world have been celebrating Mawlid for long. Upon sight of the moon in Rabi ul Awwal their happiness touches the limits and hence they make specific gatherings for Dhikr of Mawlid due to which they earn immense Ajr and Success.[Biyan al Milaad an Nabwi, Page No. 58]

7. Shah Wali Ullah Muhadith Dhelvi (Rahimuhullah) the great Imam of al-Hind mentions one of his all time wonderful experiences as:

I took part in a gathering of Mawlid inside Makkah where people were sending Darood and Slaam upon Prophet (Peace be upon him) and mentioning the incidents which took place during the time of your birth (before and after) and those which were witnessed before you were appointed as a Nabi (such as Nur eliminating from Bibi Amina RA, she seeing Nur, woman proposing to Abdullah RA on sight of Nur on his forhead etc...) suddeny I saw Nur to have enveloped one group of people, I don’t claim that I saw this with my bodlily eyes, nor do I claim that it was spiritual and Allah knows the best regarding these two, however upon concentration on these Anwaar a reality opened upon me that these Anwaar are of those Angels who take part in such gatherings, I also saw Mercy to be decending along with Anwaar of Angels [Fuyoodh al Haramayn, Pages 80-81]

8. Shah Abdul Aziz Muhadith Dhelvi (Rahimuhullah) the author of leading book written on refutation of Rafidhis (i.e. Tohfa Athna Ashriyah) he said:

The Barakah of Rabi ul Awwal is due to birth of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) in this month, the more this Ummah sends Darud and Salaam and arrange for (sadaqa for the poor), more will they be blessed [ Fatawa al Azizi 1:123]

9. Mullah Ali Qari (Rahimuhullah) the author of Sharh al Mishqaat and magnificent Hanafi scholar, he said:

Allah said: There hath come unto you a messenger, (one) of yourselves (9:128), In this It is pointed towards honoring the time when Prophet (saw) arrived amongst us, therefore one should do dhikr (of Quran) to thank Allah. As for Samah and playing is concerned then that which is Mubah (i.e. allowed) could be made part of Mawliddue to happiness without any harm [Muallah Ali Qari in his Al Mawlid an Nabi, Page No. 17]

10. The great Mufasir and Sufi, Hadrat Ismail Hiqqi (Rahimuhullah) said:

To celebrate Mawlid is amongst the great tributes to Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam), but the condition is that it should be clear of evil things. Imam Suyuti (rah) has said: It is Mustahab for us to be happy on birth of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) [Tafsir Ruh ul Bayan, Volume 9, Page No. 52]

11.The Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal (Rahimuhullah) said:

Milad un Nabi (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is amongst the sacred days for Muslims. According to my understanding it is very crucial for nourishment and treatment of human minds and hearts, Hence it is necessary for Muslims to keep in their sight the Aswa ur Rasul (salallaho alaihi wasalam). In the following three ways they can keep their emotions intact.

1. The first way is of sending Darood and Salaam which is part and parcel of Muslim's life, they try to find every possible time to send Darood. I have come to know about Arab world that if 2 people get into a fight in market then the third says loudly: Allah humma Sali Ala Sayyidna wa Barik Wassalim, hearing this the fight stops immediately, this is the power which Darood holds therefore it is necessary to embed the thought in heart of the person on whom Darood is sent (i.e. Prophet Salallaho alaihi wasalam)

2. The second way deals with Gatherings i.e. Muslims should gather in great number and one person out of them (i.e. leader) who is fully versed regarding the Life and works of Pride to the worlds (i.e. Prophet Salallaho alaihi wasalam) should mention them in detail so that the devotion to follow the way of Prophet (saw) awakens in hearts of Muslims, for this purpose we have also gathered today.

3. The third way is although difficult but still it to be mentioned is very important. It is that Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is remembered in such a way that our hearts (and ways) become Mazhar (signs) of different aspects of Nabuwah i.e. the feeling which was there about 1300 years ago due to literal presence of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam), the same feeling arises in our hearts too. [Asaar e Iqbal, Pages. 306-307]

11. Maulana Abdul Hai Luckhnawi (Rahimuhullah) said:

When a kafir of Abu Lahab’s calibre gets rewarded upon rejoicing on birth of Prophet (saw), then an Ummati who gets happy on his birth and spends due to his love for him would of course be established on high standards, just like it has been mentioned by Ibn Jawzi (rahimuhullah) and Sheikh Muhadith Haq Dhelvi (Rahimuhullah) [Abdul Hai in Majmua al Fatawa, Volume 2, Page No. 282]

Khalil Ahmed Sahranpuri in Al-Muhannad broke all barriers when he said:: What are we, not even a single Muslim can consider Dhikr of birth of Prophet (saw), rather dhikr of his shoes, RATHER DHIKR OF URINE OF HIS DONKEY TO BE BIDAH OR HARAM [Al Muhannad, Page No. 60, Question No. 21]

12.The famous scholar of Ghair Muqalideen, Nawab Saddiq Hassan Khan Bhopali said:

What is wrong in it if we cannot do dhikr of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam)’s Seerah, his Hidaya, his Birth and his death evreyday, then we should do it every month and in days of Rabi Ul Awwal and they should not be left empty.

He writes further: A Person who does not get happy upon incidents of Mawlid and does not thank Allah for such a great blessing then "SUCH A PERSON IS NOT MUSLIM" [Ash Shamama tul Anbarah min Mawlid al Khayr ul Barah, Page No. 12]

Note: No wonder our Salafis have not even spared their own people in Takfir, the above fatwa is an open takfir upon all Salafis who make sad faces on Mawlid and try to refute it (Note: Its has been mentioned in the beginning that Shaytan cried loudly on birth of Prophet saw)

13. Sheikh ul Islam Imam Ibn Hajr al Haytami (Rahimuhullah) writes:

The gatherings of Mawlid and Adhkaar which take place during our time, they are mostly confined to good deeds, for example in them Sadaqat are given, Dhikr is done, Darud and Salam is sent upon the Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) and he is praised. [Imam al Haythami (rah) in Fatawa al Hadithiyyah, Page No. 202]

Counter refutation of Salafis (by brother Aamir Ibrahim, if anyone finds any refutation of this counter refutation then contact brother Aamir directly on the skype id provided on home page of this website)

Q) Mawlid was not practiced or arranged by any of the Sahaba, nor is there any proof of it being done by Tabiyeen, these are the Islaaf whom we follow and choosing their way is the safest path.

Answer: First of all, it is false to say this because Prophet (Peace be upon him) himself celebrated the day of his birth as proven from Sahih Muslim that Prophet (Peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on monday and he replied "He was born on this day and reveletion was sent on him" [See above the heading called "Istadlal from ahadith, Proof # 1], above all, Allah azza Wajjal Himself takes the "DAYS OF PROPHETIC BIRTHS AS DAYS OF PEACE" [See Qur'an 19:15]

Secondly, the Salafis are asked to bring forward a categorical hadith in which Prophet (Peace be upon him) forbade Mawlid, remember to prove something haram you need a more stronger proof whereas even silence goes in favour of us Sunnis due to this following hadith:

Translation: Abu Darda (RA) narrates that the Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) said: Whatever Allaah has permitted in His Book is Halaal, whatever He has forbidden is Haraam, "AND ANYTHING OVER WHICH THERE IS SILENCE IS PARDONED" so accept the pardon of Allaah, for Allaah cannot be forgetful. Then he recited this verse: ‘and your Lord is never forgetful’ [Maryam 19:64].[Imam Haythami in Majma uz Zawaid 1:171, Hadith No. 794]

Imam Haythami (rah) said: It is narrated by Al-Bazzar and Tabarani in his Kabir with "Hassan chain having reliable narrators"

This hadeeth is also classified as Sahih by Nasir ud-din Albani in his Silsilat as Sahihah (5/325)

Hence according to this hadith the Silence proves Mawlid to be allowed because the Asl for this is found in Qur'an and Sunnah as so many proofs have been shown above.

Thirdly even if assuming Sahaba or Tabiyeen did not do it (although no proof of Nafi exists) then there are many things which were not practiced by Sahaba and Tabiyeen, but later Ulama derived rulings on them looking at the principles, Therefore If anything does not contradict the principles of Shariah then it has always been allowed, for example the knowledge of al-Jarh wa't Ta'deel in hadith, the knowledge of Asma ur Rijaal, putting Araab (punctuation) on Qur'an, Building minarets on mosques, narrating hadiths with chain of narrators etc... The point is that their Asl is found in Shariah, similarly the Asl for rejoicing on Mawlid is found in Qur'an itself let alone Sunnah where it is definitely found too.

Q) Mawlid is Bidat al Dhalalah (blameworthy innovation), Prophet (Peace be upon him) said in rigorously authentic ahadith that All bidahs are misguidance and all misguidance are in the fire.

Answer: This hadith is not general but rather specific as classical scholar Imam Ibn Hajr al Haythami (rah) explained:

وفي الحديث "كل بدْعة ضلالة وكل ضلالة في النار" وهو محمول على المحرمة لا غي

Translation: That which is narrated in Hadith that All innovations are evil and all evil are in hell fire, This hadith will be applied for Bidat al Muhrima (i.e. category of haram innovations only) not others.[Al Haytami in Fatawa al Hadithiyyah, Volume No.1Page No. 109, Published by Dar ul Fikr, Beirut, Lebanon]

Secondly, such terminology is used in Shariah many times, for example Quran states: "Verily you and what you worship apart from Allah are the fuel of hell" (Qur'an 21:98)

We all know that Jesus is worshiped by Christians, now if we make this ayah general then Naudhobillah Jesus shall become fuel of hell fire too (Audhobillah Min Dhalik), therefore we have to understand the reality behind words of Prophet (Peace be upon him), the Bidahs which Prophet forbade were all new innovations which contradicted shariah, the dalil for this could be found in Sahih Bukhari

Volume 3, Book 49, Number 861: (Sahih Bukhari - Muhsin Khan Wahabi translation)

Narrated Aisha: Allah's Apostle said, "If somebody innovates something which is not in harmony with the principles of our religion, that thing is rejected."

The Important Usool

We know from many ahadith that Prophet (Peace be upon him) allowed new matters in deen, like few sahaba recited Fatiha on bite of snake (see: Bukhari Volume 3, Book 36, Number 476), they had no knowledge of it from Prophet (Peace be upon him), but on coming to Prophet it was approved, some people still argue that it was allowed in presence of Prophet, so whatever he allows and forbids we have to follow, the answer to this is that Prophet could never contradict in his sayings, If he has laid down a principle that all innovations are evil in mutlaqqan terms then there is no Jawaz of him accepting some himself, hence It is necessary to check everything according to principles of Shariah.

One more answer to this is that Umar (ra) called combining sahaba behind 1 Qari as "Na’imal Bidatu Hadihi (i.e. What an Excellent innovation this is)" refer to Sahih Bukhari in Kitab ut Tarawih... this is proof from Nass that every bidah is not bad, on this some people also argue that Umar (ra) was referring to Lughwi Bidah not Shari’i, they are asked to bring proof from hadith itself that Umar (ra) differentiated bidah between Lughwi and Shari’i?

Above all Uthman bin Affan (ra) started the second Adhaan for Jumma, Salafis reply to this as: They were Khulafa ar rashideen and we are bound to follow them because hadith states so, the answer to this is same i.e. had every bidah been evil then our pious predecessors would not have contradicted themselves, had word Bidah been only bad then Sayyidna Umar (RA) would have used wording "Ni'mal Sunnat" rather than Ni'aml Bidatu"

Q) The day of Prophet (Peace be upon him) ‘s birth is not confirmed to be 12th of Rabi Ul Awwal, rather his day of death is confirmed to be 12th Rabi Ul Awwal, hence to rejoice on a sad day is a wrong thing.

Ans): First of all those who prove Mawlid always believe that Mawlid is not restricted to 1 date only, you can rejoice on any day, secondly the early most Seerah books like Seerat Ibn Ishaq (rah), Ibn Hisham (rah), Tabaqat Ibn Sa’d (rah) confirm the date of birth to be 12th Rabi ul Awwal, so does Imam Ibn Kathir (rah) in his book Sirat ar Rasul where he calls it mainstream opinion and calls other opinions as weak....

Conclusion

Ques). Mawlid is root cause of filthy things in ummah like drinking, intermixing with women, music etc…

Ans: This type of ignorance is hurled at Muslims when opposite party is left with nothing credible to say, This is also answered in the article by the way, i.e. If someone does a wrong deed in Masjid then this does not mean we stop going to Masjid completely, secondly we ask Salafis: Would these things become Halal if not done in Milad? Hence Mawlid itself is allowed and salafis only use straw-man argumentation.

Ques) Imam Ibn Kathir (rah) called Mawlid as a grave innovation in Al Bidayah wan Nihaya, Malik Muzzafar ud din was as Bidati, Fasiq ruler?

Ans: It’s a lie and forgery to Ibn Kathir's text as proven above.

12 Rabi-ul-Awal: The Most Authentic Date of Milad

Some people claim that the exact date of birth of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is not known and hence there is little room for the celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.

12 Rabi-ul-Awal is not only accepted as Milad Day from the classical and ancient scholars, it is also confirmed by the governments of the whole Islamic world. The holidays of almost 2 dozen Islamic countries, and except Iran ALL other countries celebrate it on 12 Rabi-ul-Awal. Iran celebrates it on 17 Rabi-ul-Awal, but this is because they coincide it with the birth date of Imam Jafar Sadiq (علیھ السلام).

Opinion of Renowned Historians about the Authentic Date of Milad

1. Imam Ibn Ishaq (85-151 H): Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. (Ibn al Jawzi in Al-Wafa, Page 87)

2. Imam Ibn Hisham (213 H): Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. (Ibn Hisham in As-Sirat-un-Nabawiya, Vol. 1, Page 158)

3. Imam Ibn Jareer at-Tabari (224-310 H): Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. (Tarikh-ul-Umam-wal-Muluk, Vol. 2, Page 125)

4. Allama Abu-ul-Hasan Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Mawardi (370-480 H): Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born 50 days after the event of Ashab-ul-Feel and after the death of His father on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal. (Ailam-un-Nabuwa, Page 192)

5. Imam Al-Hafiz Abu-ul-Fatah Al-Undalasi (671-734 H): Our leader and our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), the Messenger of Allah, was born on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. (Aayun-al-Asr, Vol.1, Page 33)

6. Allama Ibn Khaldun (732-808 H): Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. It was the 40th year of Emperor Kasra Noshairwan. (Ibn Khaldun in At-Tarikh Vol. 2, Page 394)

7. Muhammad As-Sadiq Ibrahim Arjoon: From various turaq (chains) it has been established as true that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel in the reign of Kasara Noshairwan. (Muhammad Rasool Ullah, Vol. 1, Page 102)

8. Sheikh Abdul-Haq Muhadath Dehlvi (950-1052 H):Know it well, that over-whelming majority of the experts of sayar and tarikh (i.e. biographers and historians) hold the opinion that An-Hazrat (i.e. the prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was born in Aam-ul-Feel … It is well known that the month was of Rabi-ul-Awal and its date was 12. Various scholars have shown their agreement with this (date). (Madarij-un-Nabuwa, Vol. 2, Page 14)

9. Nawab Muhammad Sadiq Hasan Khan Bohapalvi: The birth (of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) happened in Mecca at the time of Fajar on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Aam-ul-Feel. Majority of scholars holds this opinion. Ibn Jawzi has narrated a consensus (of scholars) on it. (Ash-Shumama-tul-Anbariya Fi Mowlid Khair-al-Bariya, Page 7)

You can see that the historians / scholars from the first / second century of Hijri, as well as the scholars of later times, had been authenticating it. The list also includes the well known leader of Salafis, i.e. Nawab Sadiq Hasan Bohapalvi.

This Date is Officially Recognized by Islamic World

Milad-un-Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is celebrated throughout the Islamic world, with the exception of a few countries. Interestingly, all the Islamic countries (except Iran, who celebrate on 17th) celebrate it on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.

Here is a list of 16 Islamic countries who hold an official holiday on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal (the actual list is longer than this):

اردن
امارات
بحرین
الجزائر
سوڈان
عراق
کویت
مرا کش
یمن
تونس
شام
عمان
لبنان
لیبیا
مصر
مورطانیہ

Conclusion:
The most authentic date of Milad-un-Nabi (i.e. Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)'s birth), as agreed upon by the classical and later scholars and historians, and as officially recognized by Islamic countries, is Monday 12 Rabi-ul-Awal.

Now Im going to prove from a scholar whom even Salafi consider the top most scholar in Tafsir and Tarikh and he not only says 12th is the mainstreem opinion but also relies with exact hadith for it

Translation: Ibn Abi Shaybah (rah) in his Musannaf narrates from Affan>>Sa’id>>Jabir and Ibn Abbas (ridhwan Allahu ajmain) who said: Rasul Ullah (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was born in the year of elephant on Monday, the 12th Rabi Ul Awwal [Ibn Kathir in Seerat un Nabi, Volume 1, Page No. 199]

Then he said:

وهذا هو المشهور عند الجمهور
والله أعلم .

This is what is famous amongst Majority and Allah knows the best [ibid]

Imam Qastallani (rahimuhullah) said: Rasul Ullah (saw) was born on 12th Rabi ul Awwal and People of Makkah follow it,on this same day they visit (your place of birth).. It is famous that you were born on 12th Rabi ul Awwal, the day was of Monday, Ibn Ishaq (rah) and others have narrated this too [Al Muwahib al Laduniya, Volume 1, Page No. 88]

Milad and the truth.

Why do something of which there is even the slightest of doubt?
Are you saying our Sahaba were lacking by not celebrating the birthday of our rasool?
Have a careful think about what you are saying.
Explain why there is dancing in the masjid at the time of naat?
Why are there flags, lights, decorations up everywhere?
Why is there a milad cake being cut?
You are following the way of the accursed.

Just do in Islam what it says, not more not less.
That is sufficient to please your lord Allah SWT.
Don't innovate and think you are gaining more by doing acts of
Worship that have not been prescribed.

Eid Milad Un Nabi

We all only use Islam till it benefits us. otherwise discard certain teachings of Islam. Allah mentions for you to love the prophet pbuh in the Qur'an so we can do any act of loving him by having gatherings such as Eid Milad un Nabi. In fact we should be happy that such a large community comes together for the prophet pbuh on this day, how often do you people even remember the prophet? not much. Prophet pbuh wanted unity in the Ummah and this is what exactly happens in Milads. Others putting their views across such as they've seen dancing in Milads, use your own initiative and think that they understood the concept of Milad wrong, this does not however mean all people who celebrate Eid Milad Un Nabi dance in gatherings. If you say Prophet Muhammad did not practice celebrating his birthday, but wouldn't you do it out of respect for him for the man who undertook so much trouble for this ummah? when I attend Eid milad Un Nabi I actually cry more than anything that day, so you're saying me crying for the love of Prophet is wrong where I sit with my sister's in Islam and remember him?

Salam, I understand that you

Salam,

I understand that you just wanted to show respect and praise for the prophet (PBUH) however you asked that where in Qur'an or Hadith shows that it is not allowed to celebrate milad un nabi? We'll i'm a new reconvert and as far as i know the Hadith and the Qur'an is complete by itself so why are you looking for something that is not there? The celebration of the milad is not on those text since it's something we don't need or need to do. The Prophet (PBUH) and those after him esp the caliphs could have done it if it is necessary.

Eid-miladun Nabi(Peace be upon him) in light of QuranandAhadeeth

Eid Milad-un-Nabi in the light of Quran & Ahadith

“Please read with open heart and mind. May Allah give you courage to accept the TRUTH”
JazakAllah –Farid A.H Darvesh and Family.

If somebody tells me that celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad is Kufr, Shirk or Bid'at? I will ask that person only one question and end the discussion, please show me where in Quran or Hadith it is mentioned that commemoration of Milad-un-Nabi on any day specially on twelve Rabi-Awaal is not allowed? On contrary, in Quran Allah Himself narrated the detail of Adam creation and the detail story of the birth of Hadrat Essa (Jesus) Alai Salam. Almost all the messengers of Allah Ta'ala has been foretelling their ummah the coming of the last Prophet Muhammad

Muhammad is a vital link between Allah Ta'ala and Mankind and Love of the Prophet Muhammad is an essential part of one's Iman. Thus Allah Ta'ala commands Muslims to follow (Muhammad ) in Quran as "Say: O, people! if you do love Allah, follow me , Allah will love you and forgive your sins" (Surah Ale-Imran, Verse 31). . . The direction is double sided. On the one side, One must follow the Holy Prophet if one loves Allah Almighty , while on the other, one must follow the Holy Prophet if one wants to be loved by Allah Almighty. In other words, as far as love of Allah Almighty is concerned, the follow-up of Holy Prophet is a pre-requisite. This is what Allah Almighty declares. Now listen to what the Holy Prophet declares: "That is, none of you is Momin (believer) unless I am dearer to him than his parents, his children and all other persons." (Sahih Bukhari). All other persons would naturally include all relatives, friends, authoroties etc. It is this divine love that every Muslim Momin feels in their hearts and pay the highest respect to our beloved Prophet after Allah Ta'ala and when the month of Rabi-Awwal comes these Ashiq-e-Rasul start celebrating the birth of their master (Aaqa) Muhammad with great joy in the form of Mehfil-e-Milad.

Unfortunately, among us there are those who mislead innocent Muslim brothers and sisters by calling Mehfil-e-Milad shirk, Bid'at etc, etc and prevent straightforward Muslims from commemorating the birthday of the holy prophet and thus denied them from receiving great blessing of Allah Ta'ala. Also it has seen that those who object on celebrating birthday of our prophet when it comes to their own children they forget all shirk and bid'at fatwa and celebrate their children's birthday or Aqeeqa willingly.

OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this literature is to show our Muslim brothers and sisters that commencing Mehfil-e-Milad is not against the sharia but it is in accordance to the spirit of Islam. If some one does not like Mehfil-e-Milad it does not mean that celebrating mehfil-e-Milad itself is wrong. In other words if someone does not practice Islam it does not mean Islam itself is bad.

A typical Mehfil-e-Milad consist of the following events. The sequence of events may vary but almost all Milad-un-Nabi gathering consist of all or majority of the following events.
• Recitation of Quran-ul-Hakeem
• Hamd-e-Allah Ta'ala
• Naat-e-Rasul
• Speeches on the life of the Prophet Muhammad
• Salat (darood)-o-Salam
• Dua
• Distribution of sweets or Dinner

Now I will Analyze each event and see if it is in accordance to Islam or not. The objective is to prove, if an individual event is in accordance to the Shariah then the whole event collectively is also permissible?

RECITATION OF QURAN-UL-HAKEEM
Nobody has any objection in reading or recitation of the Holy Quran.

HAMD-E-ALLAH TA'ALA
Hamd is a way to praise the Almighty Allah Subhana Ta'ala. Every particle in the universe say Tasbeeh of Allah Ta'ala. Zikr-e-Allah is peace of heart for the momin. Munkir-e-Milad has no objection on it.

NAAT-E-RASUL
Naat-e-Rasul is a way to praise our beloved prophet in the form of poetry or rhymes. Reading Naat gives heart burns to the Munkir-e-Milad and once again they show their animosity against Naat by calling Naat Khawah Mushrik and Bidatti etc.

Let see how Quran-ul-Hakeem praises the Sahib-e-Quran , therefore we find the following verses in the honor and praise of Muhammad Mustufa in the Holy Quran:

"And We have exalted for you your remembrance" (Surah Al-InShirah, V-4)
"Undoubtedly, Allah and His Angels send blessings on the prophet the communicator of unseen news, O you who believe! Send upon him blessings and salute him fully well in abundance" (Surah Al-Ahzab, V-56)
"I have sent you as a blessing for the whole Universe" (Quran Surah #21:107)
"The Prophet is nearer to his lovers (momin) than their own souls" (Quran Surah #33:6)
"He who obeys the Messenger, indeed he obeys Allah" (surah: Nisa, verse:80)
"We have indeed in the Apostle of God a beautiful pattern (conduct) for any one whose hope is in God and the final Day" (Surah: Al-Ahzab, verse:21)
"Many a time I (Almighty) have seen, you turn your face towards sky. I will make you turn towards a qiblah (direcetion) that will please you" (Quran Surah #2:144)
"He stood on the uppermost horizon; then drawing near; and was at a distance of but two bows' length or even closer" (Quran Surah #53:7-9)
"Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them an Apostle from among themselves." (Quran Surah #33:56)
"Raise not your voice above the voice of the Prophet. Lest your labours should come to nothing without your knowledge" (Quran Surah #49:2)
"Whatever the Apostle gives you accept it; and whatever he forbids you, refrain from. And fear Allah, for Allah is strict in punisment"(Quran Surah al-Hashr).

My dear muslims these are the few verses from the Quran where Allah Ta'ala honors and praises His most beatiful creation Muhammad . The Quran is full of such Praises and honors for Rasulallah (salallahoalaihewasalam). There are several hadees where Rasulallah (salallahoalaihewasalam) himself ordered Hasan bin Thabit to read poetry in his praise. I wonder what munkir-e-Milad would be thinking of Allah Ta'ala and Rasulallah now?, but we the lover of Rasulallah (salallahoalaihewasalam) believe that praising anybody within the boundary of Shariah is in fact indirectly praising Allah Ta'ala who is the creator of all universe. The example is like that if somebody praises a building for its beautiful construction that means indirectly he is also praising the people who were behind this construction i.e. the architect, the designer, the builder etc. If praising somebody is sin or bid'at or shirk then (God forgive) every one of us is committing this sin by praising one's father, mother, son, daughter, teacher, leader or anybody in any aspect. Finally if Munkir-e-Milad proves where in Quran Allah has drawn a line for praising His prophet , we will stop there but instead Quran said about Rasulallah "And We have exalted for you your remembrance" (Surah Al-InShirah, V-4) When Allah Ta'ala raises the remembrance of prophet Muhammad then who on Earth has power to lower it.

SPEECHES ON THE LIFE OF PROPHET (salallahoalaihewasalam)
Our beloved prophet Muhammad Mustufa is the symbol of Islam. No one can talk about Islam without mentioning his name mubarak . He is a vital link between Allah Ta'ala and mankind. No matter how many times we say LA-ILAHA ILLA-ALLAH we will not be a Muslim until and unless we say MUHHAMADUR RASUL ALLAH, even our namaz (which is solely for Allah Ta'ala) will not be completed until we say "ASSALAMO ALAIKA AIYOHUN NABI" in tashhud (while reciting Attaiyaat) , when Allah Ta'ala did not separate His Habib's name from His name then who are we to by pass him . If Muhammad had not come in this world then we would have no Islam, no Namaz, no Zakat, no Ramadan, no kabba and no Hajj. That is why Allah Ta'ala declared in Quran that "Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them an Apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in scripture and wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error" (Surah: Ale-Imran, verse:164). and ordered believers to rejoice on His bounty as in this verse " And the bounty ofyour Lord, recite and proclaim" (surah:Ad-Doha, verse:11). Al-hamdolillah, for us believers, Muhammad is the greatest bounty (Nemat) (gift) of all and Allah orders believers to rejoice on His bounty therefore we celebrate Eid-e-milad-un-Nabi gatherings and spread the words of Islam by shading light on various aspect of the life of our beloved prophet . Indeed for us believers, Eid-Milad-un-nabi is a real Eid because without Muhammad (salallahoalaihewasalam) there would have been no Eid-ul-fitr or Eid-ul-Adha either!

SALAT (DAROOD) -O-SALAM
In the Quran Allah Ta'ala commands believers to send Salat and Salam to His Habib Muhammad Mustufa as stated in this verse "Undoubtedly, Allah and His Angels send blessings on the prophet the communicator of unseen news, O' you who believe! send upon him blessings and salute him fully well in abundance" (Surah Al-Ahzab, V-56). In a hadith mubarka "AbuMas'ud al-Ansari who was shown the call (for prayer in a dream)--narrated it on the authority of Mas'ud al-Ansari who said: We were sitting in the company of Sa'd ibn Ubadah when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to us. Bashir ibn Sa'd said: Allah has commanded us to bless you, Messenger of Allah! But how should we bless you? He (the narrator) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) kept quiet (and we were so much perturbed over his silence) that we wished we had not asked him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then said: (For blessing me) say: "O Allah, bless Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst bless the members of Ibrahim's household. Grant favours to Muhammad and the members of his household as thou didst grant favours to the members of the household of Ibrahim in the world. Thou art indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious"; and salutation which you know." (Sahi Muslim). In another hadith Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Invoke many blessings on me on Friday for it is witnessed. The angels are present on it, and no one will invoke a blessing on me without his blessing being submitted to me till he stops." I asked whether that applied also after his death, and he replied, "Allah has prohibited the Earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets; so Allah's prophet is alive and given provision."(Al-Tirmizi)

Well, the above verse of Quran and hadees leaves no choice for Munkir-e-Milad but to send Salat wa Salam on our master Muhammad (salallahoalaihewasalam). But because of animosity toward lovers of Rasulallah (salallahoalaihewasalam), the Munkir-e-Milad object on sending Salat wa salam to our beloved prophet (salallahoalaihewasalam) in standing position. In reply, we say that no where in Quran or Hadees, Allah or His Messenger (salallahoalaihewasalam) mentioned in what position we have to send Salat wa Salam. It is entirely upto believers in what position he or she invokes salat-o-salam, whether while sitting or laying on bed/floor or standing still or walking, it does not matter. Since we respect our beloved prophet salallahoalaihewasalam) the most after Allah Ta'ala, it is the demand of this respect that we stand up and send Salat-o-Salam to the Prophet (PBUH)

DUA
There are categories of Munkir-e-Milad, some believe in Dua, some not and some have become so advanced in their beliefs that they say since Allah Ta'ala knows every things there is no need for Dua. (Astagfirullah). On the contrary, in Quran Allah ta'ala commands the believers to make Dua as stated in the following verses.

"When my servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I litsen to the prayer (dua) of every suppliant when he calleth on Me" (surah: baqra, verse:186). In another verse Allah Ta'ala said "Call on your Lord with humility and in private" (surah Al-Ahraaf, verse 55). Even our beloved Prophet , who is free of all kinds of sins and faults, used to make dua all the time. Are we superior than our master Muhammad that we feel no need of any dua? Let us see what Allah Ta'ala said about those arrogant and ignorant people who feel they do not need to invoke any dua, thus Allah said in surah Momin (Gafir) "And your Lord says: Call on Me; I will answer your (prayer): But those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!". (surah: Momin, verse 60). In another place Allah said "When the suffering reached them from Us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinfull) acts seem alluring to them." (surah:Al-Inaam, verse 43).

DISTRIBUTION OF SWEETS OR DINNER
I don't know what kind of objection Munkir-e-Milad have on distribution of sweets or eating dinner. Don't they eat in Weddings or Walimas or Aqeeqas or Fund raising dinners or Birthdays or any other parties? The Mehfil-e-Milad can also be commemorated without any sweet distribution or having dinner. This is not a must part of the Mehfil, if one cannot afford or does not want to serve food, he or she can celebrate Milad-un-Nabi without serving food to their guests. The distribution of sweets or dinner is carried out as a token of love. The dinner is served just for the convenience of guests so that they don't have to cook at 11 or 12 midnight when they get back home.

CONCLUSION
My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, the above explanation from Quran and Hadees for each component of the Mehfil-e-Milad clearly proves that holding such kind of gathering is not against Islam but actually it is accordance to the very spirit of Islam where Muslim brothers and sisters get to gather and listen words of Allah Ta'ala and His habib (salallahoalaihewasalam). In the same token other gatherings like Shab-e-Barat , Shab-e-Meraj , Shab-e-Qadar , Geewarwhee-Shareef etc where speeches on Allah and His messenger (salallahoalaihewasalam) are given are gathering of khair (virtues) and should be attended by all Muslims.

TWO MAJOR OBJECTIONS WHICH MUNKIR-E-MILAD USES AS A WEAPON TO MISLEAD OUR INNOCENT MUSLIMS SPECIALLY OUR SIMPLE GOD FEARING MUSLIM WOMEN.

Objection #1 Mehfil-e-Milad was not in the days of the Prophet therefore it is a Bid'at (i.e. new innovation).

Objection #2 Saudi Arabia does not celebrate Milad-un-Nabi therefore it is wrong to celebrate Mehfil-e-Milad.

My dear friends, any simple person with lack of religious knowledge can easily be deceived by the above two objections and fall into Munkir-e-Milad trap. I will refute the above two objections so that when Munkir-e-Milad try next time to mislead our innocent Muslim brothers and sisters they won't fall into their web. There are hundreds of books already written by the scholars of Ahle-Sunnat-wal-Jamat on topics of Bid'at and Celebrating Milad-un-Nabi, I am not going to write another book on Bid'at but to give you just basic definitions and examples and leave upto you to decide whether the claim of munkir-e-Milad is applied on Mehfil-e-Milad or not?.

REPLY TO OBJECTION #1
Those who opposed to Mehfil-e-Milad reference a hadees from Miskhat Shareef in which the Prophet (salallahoalaihewasalam) said "Whosoever introduces a new belief in our religion which contradicts with it is rejected." He also said "Beware of innovations, for every innovation (Kullu Bid'at) is misguidance." But those hypocrate Munkir-e-Milad never cite another hadees from the same book which is in favour of good innovations, thus a Hadith in Miskhat under Babul-I'lm says: "He who sets a good precedent in Islam, there is reward for him for this (act of goodness) and a reward for him also who acts according to it subsequently, without any deduction from their rewards and he who sets in Islam an evil precedent there is upon him the burden of that, and the burden of him also who acts upon it subsequently, without any deduction from their burdens." From this Hadith we see that to introduce a nice way in Islam which is in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah will induce rewards and to do vice versa will provoke punishment.

If we assume that every new innovation is Bid'at then what the munkir-e-Milad has to say about the following new innovations which were not existed at the time of Prophet .

• Compilation of Quran
• Adding first call to prayer on Friday
• Taraveeh prayer with jamaat
• Compilation of books of hadiths and so on ...

SOME GOOD BID'ATS IN OUR DAILY RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES (BID'AT-E-HASANA)
We will now see that no worship in Islam is void of Bid'at-e-Hasana.
IMAAN: Every Muslim child is taught Imaan-e-Mujmal and Imaan-e-Mufassal whereas no such categories or names for Imaan were in practice in the age of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) or the three blessed generations after him.(*)

(*) By the three blessed generations we mean the ages of the Sahaba, the Tabe'een and the Tab'e Tabe'een.

KALIMAH: Every Muslim memorises six Kalimahs. These six Kalimahs, their enumeration and their sequence that, this is the first Kalimah, this the second, etc. are all Bid'ats which were not there in the commencing period of Islam.
QURAN: To divide the Holy Quran into thirty Paras (sections) and to divide the Paras into Rukus, to put the I'raab (expressions such as Zabbar, Zer, Pesh) in the Holy Quran and to have the Holy Book printed by offset in the press are Bid'ats which could not be traced in the commencing era of Islam.
HADITH: To collect the Hadith in book form and state the chain or narrators and to characterise the Hadiths by saying this is Sahih, this is Hassan or Da'if, Mu'addaal or Mudallas, etc. and to establish the commands with the help of Hadith such as Makruh, Mustahab, etc. are all appreciable Bid'ats which were not in practice in the blessed age of Rasulullah .

PRINCIPLES OF HADITH (USUL-E-HADITH): This whole branch of knowledge along with its rules is itself Bid'at Hasana.
FIQH: Now a days all the matters in our daily life depend upon this knowledge because it contains the rules and commands for everything which may come across our lives, but this field of knowledge also is Bid'at Hasana.

USUL FIQH AND I'LM-E-KALAAM: These two branches of knowledge too, along with their principles and injunctions are all Bid'at Hasana.
SALAAT: It is Bid'at-e-Hasana to intend for praying Salaat by proclaiming the intention loudly or to pray the 20 Rakaah Tarawih prayer in congregation during the Holy Month of Ramadaan.
FASTING: At the time of breaking fast (Iftaar) to say the Du'a: "O Allah, for Thee have I Fasted and in Thee I believe and upon Thee I trust and with the food given by Thee I open my fast" and to intend for fasting by saying this Du'a audibly at the time of SEHRI: "O Allah, I intend to fast for Thy sake tomorrow" are all Bid'at Hasana.
ZAKAAT: To give Zakaat with the currency which is currently used such as coins and paper notes is Bid'at because these were not in vogue in the commencing centuries of Islam.
HAJJ: To perform Hajj by travelling in aeroplanes, ships, cars, lorries, buses and to go to the field of Arafaat by car or bus are all Bid'ats because such conveyances had not been invented in that age.
When Bid'at has been introduced in such things as Imaan and Kalimah then how will we succeed in abstaining from it. So we will have to agree that all Bid'ats are not Haraam and only those Bid'ats are Haraam which contradict the Kitaab and Sunnah.

BID'AT IN WORDLY AFFAIRS: Now a days we see around us such new inventions that could not be found in the first three centuries of Islam and we got so much accustomed to them that life would be very difficult without them. Everyone is compelled to use these things such as trains, cars, aeroplanes, watches, electricity, and hundreds of other things, without which we cannot imagine how life would be. But all these things are Bid'ats and cannot be traced back to the blessed age of Rasulullah or the Sahaba.
What the Munkir-e-Milad has to say about these modern day bid'at which are now become the part of our religious activities for example:

Use of Loud Speakers and Microphone for conducting Daily and Friday prayers and delivering speeches. Organizing Fund Raising dinners in Hotels for building Mosques, Madrassa etc. Why do not they issue fatwa of shirk, Kufr andBid'at for practicing the above new innovations in Islam.

Please don't tell me you Munkir-e-Milad don't use Loud speaker and don't organize or attend Fund Raising Dinners.

SOME MODERN DAY BAD BID'ATS (BID'AT-E-SAI'YYA) WHICH ARE AGAINST ISLAM AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED HAS BEEN PRACTICED BY MUNKIR-E-MILAD. UNFORTUNATELY SOME OF OUR INNOCENT MUSLIMS FALLS INTO THEIR TRAP!

Offering prayers with head's uncovered i.e not wearing cap while offering prayers.

Offering only fard part of the Namaz. Make no Dua after Namaz.
Anounce the beginning of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha in advance without sighting the Moon. Eating Haram burgers etc by invoking Bismillah on it so that it becomes halal.

Each of the above action is a new bad innovation in Islam i.e. Bid'at-e-Sai'yya, because by adopting these actions one is not only introducing new innovation in Islam but also at the same time he is abolishing the Sunnah of our Prophet which is direct violation of the commands of Allah Ta'ala.

REPLY TO OBJECTION #2
This is very unfortunate that in wordly affairs we are mentally impressed by the Westerners and in religious affairs we are impressed by the Arabs. Quran-ul-Hakeem has been revealed in Arabic and coincidentally Saudi Arabians speaks Arabic and our Holy places are in Saudi Arabia, We have natural respect for these but it does not mean that they are the only champions or authority of Islam. On the contrary, no where in the Quran and Hadees, Allah and His Rasul said that Muslims have to follow Saudia Arabia or Arabs or non-Arabs. Every where in Quran and Hadees it is stressed on Muslims to follow Allah and the Sunnah of our beloved prophet .
Also don't forget the last sermon of our master Muhammad delivered in the Hajj-ul-wida where he stated that Arabs has no superiority over non-Arabs and Non-Arabs have no Superiority over Arabs, You are all equal except by piety and good action. It is the present day Saudi Arabia's wahabis now salaffis goverment (which is installed by the Britishers [remember Lawrence of Arabia] in early 20th century) does not celebrate the birth of our Prophet . Otherwise if you go just beyond 75 years back in history of Saudi Arab when it was Hijaz-al-Muqaddas (in the period of Ottoman empires) you will find how enthusiastically Arabs of that time had been celebrated Milad-un-Nabi Even now a days except Saudi Arabia and its few ally, the whole Arab world Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia, Yemen, Sudan, Libya etc commemorate Milad-un-Nabi one way or the another. Allah has ordered us to follow His messenger and not to follow any particular country.

Also Eid-Miladun Nabi was celebrated in the Arabian Peninsula till year 1924 until Ibn Saud renamed it to Saudi Arabia and attempted an attack under Western influence( which emerged strong in first world war and only opposition was ottoman empire which is Turkey today) to the holy place of Mecca shareef and Medina shareef under Ottoman empire since the Ottomans decided no blood shed in the holy vicinity of Kaaba and RasoolAllah Roza and ultimately passed under the Wahabi sect control henceforth.
The Gustakhe Rasool not only created turmoil around the holy vicinity killing many Sunni and renowned personalities but also cremated the dome of Bibi Fati ma Zahra(R.A) and Hazrat Usman Gani (R.A) graves to make Janatul Baki plain.

WARNING! BEWARE OF WOLF IN A SHEEP DISGUISE - PROTECT YOUR AQEEDAH FROM THE DACOIT OF IMAN
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, Love and Respect of the Muhammad Mustufa is the corner stone of Iman. If we don't Love and respect our beloved Prophet , How will we listen his message and follow his Sunnah. Remember Abu-Jahal and company, used to say Prophet Muhammad "you are a human like us! why should we follow you" and tried to find faults in the personality of the Prophet .The question arises here why all the time those kuffar called our beloved Prophet "You are a human like us", There must be a very profound reason, The answer is very simple. If they convinced the people that Muhammad is an ordinary man like us, full of faults and defects then his divine message will automatically become faulty because an imperfect person cannot deliver a perfect message! The era of Rasulallah , Sahaba karaam, Taba'in and Taba Taba'in has been passed but unfortunately the saga continues, now this job of kuffar-e-Makkah has been taken over by enemies in disguise, with the same mission, i.e. to degrade our Prophet and his companions and extinguish the light of Ishq-e-Mustufa from the hearts of the Muslims in the name of Tauheed. Fortunately, our master Muhammad whom Allah Ta'ala given the knowledge of the unseen has already foretold us about such fitna. Thus the following Hadiths points to such fitna:

1) The Prophet said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "And also on our Najd." He said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! And also on our Najd." I think the third time the Prophet said, "There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan." (Al-Bukhari) .

2) Allah's Apostle said, "There will appear some people among you whose prayer will make you look down upon yours, and whose fasting will make you look down upon yours, but they will recite the Qur'an which will not exceed their throats (they will not act on it) and they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes out through the game whereupon the archer would examine the arrowhead but see nothing, and look at the unfeathered arrow but see nothing, and look at the arrow feathers but see nothing, and finally he suspects to find something in the lower part of the arrow." (Al-Bukhari)
3) "While we were with Allah's Apostle who was distributing (i.e. some property), there came Dhu-l-Khuwaisira, a man from the tribe of Bani Tamim and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do Justice." The Prophet said, "Woe to you! Who could do justice if I did not? I would be a desperate loser if I did not do justice." 'Umar said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allow me to chop his head off." The Prophet said, "Leave him, for he has companions who pray and fast in such a way that you will consider your fasting negligible in comparison to theirs. They recite Qur'an but it does not go beyond their throats (i.e. they do not act on it) and they will desert Islam as an arrow goes through a victim's body, so that the hunter, on looking at the arrow's blade, would see nothing on it; he would look at its Risaf and see nothing, he would look at its Nadi and see nothing, and he would look at its Qudhadh (1) and see nothing (neither meat nor blood), for the arrow has been too fast even for the blood and excretions to smear. The sign by which they will be recognized is that among them there will be a black man, one of whose arms will resemble a woman's breast or a lump of meat moving loosely. Those people will appear when there will be differences amongst the people." I testify that I heard this narration from Allah's Apostle and I testify that 'Ali bin Abi Talib fought with such people, and I was in his company. He ordered that the man (described by the Prophet ) should be looked for. The man was brought and I looked at him and noticed that he looked exactly as the Prophet had described him." (Al-Bukhari)

4) "Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith at-Taymi from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar Rahman that Abu Said said that he had heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "A group of people will appear among you whose prayer, fasting and deeds will make you think little of your own prayer, fasting and deeds. They will recite the Qur'an, but it wil not get past their throats, and they will pass through the deen like an arrow passes through game. You look at the arrowhead, and you see nothing, and you look at the shaft, and you see nothing, and you look at the flights, and you see nothing. And you are in doubt about the notch." (Al-Muwatta)

5) 'Ali bin Abi Talib sent a piece of gold not yet taken out of its ore, in a tanned leather container to Allah's Apostle. Allah's Apostle distributed that amongst four persons: 'Uyaina bin Badr, Aqra bin Habis, Zaid Al-Khail and the fourth was either Alqama or Amir bin At Tufail. On that, one of his companions said, "We are more deserving of this (gold) than these (persons)." When that news reached the Prophet, he said, "Don't you trust me though I am the truthworthy man of the One in the Heavens, and I receive the news of Heaven (i.e. Divine Inspiration) both in the morning and in the evening?" There got up a man with sunken eyes, raised cheek bones, raised forehead, a thick beard, a shaven head and a waist sheet that was tucked up and he said, "O Allah's Apostle! Be afraid of Allah." The Prophet said, "Woe to you! Am I not of all the people of the earth the most entitled to fear Allah?" Then that man went away. Khalid bin Al-Wahd said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall I chop his neck off?" The Prophet said, "No, for he may offer prayers." Khalid said, "Numerous are those who offer prayers and say by their tongues (i.e. mouths) what is not in their hearts." Allah's Apostle said, "I have not been ordered (by Allah) to search the hearts of the people or cut open their bellies." Then the Prophet looked at him (i.e. that man) while the latter was going away and said, "From the offspring of this (man there will come out (people) who will recite the Qur'an continuously and elegantly but it will not exceed their throats. (They will neither understand it nor act upon it). They would go out of the religion (i.e. Islam) as an arrow goes through a game's body." I think he also said, "If I should be present at their time I would kill them as the nations of Thamud were killed." (Al-Bukhari)

6) The Prophet said, "I have been made victorious with As-Saba (i.e. an easterly wind) and the people of 'Ad were destroyed by Ad-Dabur (i.e. a westerly wind)." Narrated Abu Said: Ali sent a piece of gold to the Prophet who distributed it among four persons: Al-Aqra' bin Habis Al-Hanzali from the tribe of Mujashi, 'Uyaina bin Badr Al-Fazari, Zaid At-Ta'i who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Nahban, and 'Alqama bin Ulatha Al-'Amir who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Kilab. So the Quraish and the Ansar became angry and said, "He (i.e. the Prophet, ) gives the chief of Najd and does not give us." The Prophet said, "I give (them) so as to attract their hearts (to Islam)." Then a man with sunken eyes, prominent checks, a raised forehead, a thick beard and a shaven head, came (in front of the Prophet ) and said, "Be afraid of Allah, O Muhammad!" The Prophet said, "Who would obey Allah if I disobeyed Him? (Is it fair that) Allah has trusted all the people of the earth to me while, you do not trust me?" Somebody who, I think was Khalid bin Al-Walid, requested the Prophet to let him chop that man's head off, but he prevented him. When the man left, the Prophet said, "Among the off-spring of this man will be some who will recite the Qur'an but the Qur'an will not reach beyond their throats (i.e. they will recite like parrots and will not understand it nor act on it), and they will renegade from the religion as an arrow goes through the game's body. They will kill the Muslims but will not disturb the idolaters. If I should live up to their time I will kill them as the people of 'Ad were killed (i.e. I will kill all of them)." (Al-Bukhari)

7) One day the eminent Ashaab of the Holy Prophet were assembled around him and a person came by and stood at the edge of the Majlis Shareef. Immediately, he proceeded from there into Musjid-e-Nabawi Shareef. The Holy Prophet addressed the Sahaba and said: "Who amongst you will go and kill him?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As Siddique (radi Allahu anhu) got up and went towards this person who was engrossed in Salaah. He could not kill a person who was engrossed in Salaah, and returned to the Holy Prophet and explained the situation.

The Beloved Nabi of Allah stated again: "Who is it that will kill him?" Sayyiduna Omar Al Farouq (radi Allahu anhu) got up and went towards that person and found him in the same situation.

For the third time the Holy Prophet stated: "Who is it that will kill him?" Sayyiduna Ali Al Murtudah (radi Allahu anhu) got up and said: "I will kill him". The Holy Prophet said: "Yes, you would if you find him but he will not be there".

When Sayyiduna Ali (radi Allahu anhu) went to the Musjid Shareef the man had already left. Then the Nabi of Allah said: "If you had killed him then a very great Fitna (dissention) would have been removed from this Ummah".

My dear muslims, From the above prophecies of the Rasuallah two points are very clear:
1) Najd is the place of fitna .
2) There will be gustakhaan-e-Rasul who will act as staunch Muslims but in fact they will out of Islam.

And when we turned the page of the history we found Abdul Wahab najdi, the founder of present day Wahabi sect belongs to Najd, he established a cult that causing fitna in Muslim Ummah. Their mission is to degrade Rasulallah and snatch the love of Rasullah from the hearts of Muslims in the name of Tauheed. That it why there books and speeches are full of derogatory remarks about the Prophet, Sahaba Karaam, four Imams and Awlia-allah. Some say the Prophet was a person like us, some say he had no power, some say he did not know what is on the other side of the wall, some say he was just a postman, some say his message is important not his personality and so on.

Just read the above hadees, how Sahaba karaam were ready to chop the head of anybody showing any disrespect toward the Prophet . In the last hadees the rude person was the father of Wahabism whose offsprings are found today. They are soiling this earth and causing Fitna in this Ummah. That rude person stood on the edge of a Majlis Shareef of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah and gave one look at everyone present there. His corrupt heart told him that there is no one in this Majlis better than himself. He was very proud and boasted of his Salaah and piety. He did not realize that Salaah or any virtue, is but a mercy of the Glorious Prophet of Allah .

One can never be a devout servant of Allah until one sincerely pledges his allegiance to the beloved of Allah . In the Holy Quraan Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala places the respect and honour of His Beloved Nabi before His worship. Therefore, Allah states: "So that you bring faith on Allah and his Rasool and respect and honour his Rasool and glorify Allah day and night, (meaning, perform Salaah)". The first and formost factor of Imaan is respect for the Rasool.
Without respect for the Rasool, Salaah or any from of Ibadaah is useless. There are may Abdullahs (Servants of Allah) in this world but the true and sincere Abdullah is he who is Ghulaam-e-Mustafa (servant of the choosen Prophet - ). If it is not so then the servant is Abde-Shaytaan - servant of the cursed Devil. Allah forbid this! Wahabis now going by the name of Salafis to decieve innocent muslims. Please beware of this name changed.

I will finish this literature by the following hadees:
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, which is that? Whereupon he said: It is one to which I and my companions belong. (Al- Tirmidhi)

The source of Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat is the above hadees. Ahle-Sunnah is from the Sunnah of our beloved prophet and Wal-jamat is the believes of the Sahaba karaam, tabaiin and taba tabaiin. Rasulullah (sall-Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam) brought the beliefs of Ahl as-Sunnat. The Sahabat al-kiram derived these teachings of iman from the source. And the Tabiin Izam, in their turn, learned these teachings from the Sahabat al-kiram. And from them their successors learned, thus the teachings of Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat reached us by way of transmission and tawatur. These teachings cannot be explored by way of reasoning. Intellect cannot change them and will only help to understand them. That is, intellect is necessary for understanding them, for realizing that they are right and for knowing their value. All the scholars of hadith held the beliefs of Ahle-Sunnat-wal-Jamat . The Imams of the four madhhabs (Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki, Hanbali) in deeds, too, were in this madhhab.

May Allah Ta'ala protect all of us from these fitna and show us the right path, which is the path of Rasulallah and Sahaba Karaam (Radi Allah anhum). Ameen!

There for celebrating the birthday of any person in ISLAM strictly prohibited. this is biddat and alha never excuse those ho does not follow the Prophet PBUH way. only the Prophet PBUH show the way is true and all the other is wrong and ways of Jahannam.

Fasting is the only way of Prophets celebrating Milad in his lif

Prophet celebrated this day by fasting. So all who claim to be his follower should fast. ( Refer Sahi Muslim)

Eid Milad

Our prophet (Peace be upon him) said there shall be 71 groups (firqe) in my Ummah and only 1 of them will go to heaven that which exactly follows me. So when we see these people celeberating Eid Milad / Urs etc there is nothing surprise about it since they are one of those 70 groups for which Our prophet (Peace be upon him) forecast-ed. May Allah show them the right path. ... Aameeen.

Assalamu-alaikum My dear muslim brothers !!!

dear brothers its true that we see juma as Eid coz prophet (pbuh) said in the sahih hadith but point to be noted here is if prophet (phuh) made juma as eid in his lifetime then why didnt he told us to celebrate milad as eid ???? One more point to be noted that pyare nabi (phuh) didn't know about this nisbat and taaluq and all sahabah ikram (ra) didn't know about this taaluq and nisbat and after 1000 years this becoming another eid ???????????? plz explain.

Dance are not permitted on Eid Milad

Why people are dancing on Eid-e-Milad.
From two three years back people are taking electric from illegal way on Eid-e- Milad. Look like there is no different between Muslim and Hindu. Please take-care of our poor people instead of spending lot on other activities some body has to take responsible for necessary spending Muslim Money. lights is OK but I have seen some firework was also there which is too bad for Eid-e-Milad. We need to make more love with our prophet Mohammed and fallow the Sunnah. May Allah give us Big Taufeeq to our Ummah. (Ameen)

eid-e-milad

It is advised not to name any other religion (The Hindu)during your religious conversation. Let the peace remain.
