New Delhi: President Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Maulana Arshad Madani has begun an initiative to distribute blankets among the prisoners, besides providing them legal aid. He has also announced to pay the fine amount on behalf of the prisoners who are languishing in jail as they do not afford to pay fine. It must be noted that Maulana Arshad Madani has announced to provide support to the prisoners irrespective of the religion they belong to.
On the direction of Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, good quality blankets were distributed among 600 prisoners. On the occasion, it was also announced to release 23 prisoners who are languishing in jail because they do not afford to pay fine.
The prisoners among whom blankets were distributed include Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian. They also include around 50 women prisoners.
On the occasion, jail superintendent thanked Maulana Arshad Madani for this kind gesture
