3-day International Quran Exhibition to be held from 22-24 June in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An International Quran Exhibition is being organized by the Consulate of Iran in Hyderabad in collaboration with various literary and cultural organizations. The 3 day Expo to feature rare and artistic Masterpieces, 1400-Year-Old Quranic Manuscripts, also a Calligraphy Workshop by Irani artists to be held.
Addressing the media, Deputy Minister of Culture & Islamic Guidance, Government of Iran H.E. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi Fiqhizadeh announced “the exhibition will be held from 22nd to 24th of June at Salar Jung Museum Western Block Auditorium from 10am to 5pm”
Agha Mahdi Mahdavipour, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatullah al Uzam Khamenei in India, Director of Salar Jung Museum Dr. Nagendar Reddy was also present on this occasion.
“The exhibition will feature more than 100 masterpieces of Irani caligraphy of verses of Quran including more than 1400-year-old rare manuscript handwritten by Hazrath Ali and the grandson of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Hazrath Imam Hassan,” said Dr. Fiqhizadeh.

“The promotion and spreading the teachings of the Holy Quran have created great unity among all the schools of Islamic taught living in Iran and also helped in combating vices and spreading the good and noble traits and manners among the masses of the country”, said the Dy. Minister.

Addressing the media, Agha Mahdi Mahdavipour, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatullah al Uzam Khamenei in India said “An international seminar on the contribution of Indo Iran Exegesits of Holy Quran will be held on 22nd June. Telangana Home Minister Mr. Mahmood Ali will inaugurate the seminar at 11am. H.E. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi Fiqhizadeh, Agha Mahdi Mahdavipour, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatullah al Uzam Khamenei in India and other eminent scholars will present their papers on the contribution of Exegesis of Quran.”

On this occasion, highlighting the contribution of Iran, Consul General in Hyderabad H.E. Muhammed Haqbin Ghomi said, “Teaching of the different calligraphy styles to inscribe the Holy Quran, the decorative and illumination art of the Holy Quran is taught in the Fine Art Colleges and Universities of Iran. These artworks are will be on display during the exhibition in Hyderabad.”
“Three Iranian artists and calligraphers of the Holy Quran from Iran will also be attending the International Exhibition of the Holy Quran and a workshop on calligraphy and artwork of the Holy Quran will be conducted under their supervision during the 3-day expo”, said the Consul.
He added that “The First International Exhibition of the Holy Quran is being conducted with the cooperation of the Holy Quran Division of the Ministry of the Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad, India from 22-24 June 2019.
