Aadhar leak: 67 lakh users data exposed as State-run LPG gas company fails to keep it confidential

Bengaluru: In a new twist to the never-ending Aadhaar numbers leak news, over 67 Lakhs users Aadhar Details have been left exposed allegedly by the state-run LPG Gas company, sources said.

With this lack of security, data of more than 67 Lakh users could now have been compromised reports DH.

According to French security researcher Baptiste Robert, who goes by the online handle Elliot Alderson, had posted about this incident on his Twitter account where he also added that the security lapse has resulted in the website being picked up by Google and allowing anyone to get access to dealer databases.

The Frenchman has also investigated and exposed several other lapses that have taken place in this biometric identification process but Aadhaar regulator, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), has repeatedly dismissed reports of security being compromised.

Robert has also revealed that he found 5.8 million Indian customer records before his script was blocked.
