After aerial video of Navy Submarine goes viral, India denies Pak’s claim

New Delhi: The Indian Navy on Tuesday said that it “does not take cognizance” of Pakistan’s propaganda and that its deployment is to protect country’s maritime interests.

“Over the past several days, we have witnessed Pakistan indulging in false propaganda and spread of misinformation. The Indian Navy does not take cognizance of such propaganda,” the Navy said in a statement.

The Navy’s response came after Pakistan on Tuesday alleged that it thwarted a bid by an Indian Scorpene class submarine to enter Pakistani territorial waters.

“As was stated during the joint press conference on February 28, the Indian Navy remains deployed as necessary to protect national maritime interests. Our deployments remain undeterred,” it said.

According to the report published in India Today, Pakistan Navy had also released an aerial video of Navy Submarine. However, the video seems to be of 2016, sources in Indian Defense establishment said.

It is also reported that the authenticity of the video is not verified.
