The state government of Telangana plans to hike the rates of electricity.
As quoted by Deccan Chronicle, a senior official of Telangana said that, “In the present financial situation, it is inevitable.”
There will be 8-10% hike in all categories, official added.
According to the report, TRANSO is getting a 5000 crore subsidy in the current financial year and the officials estimate it to 8000 crore subsidy in the next financial year.
