AIMS scuffle: Victims fume over no arrests after 3 days

New Delhi: Bouncers and security guards deployed in AIMS assaulted the family members of a patient who had come to visit the woman admitted in the hospital. No arrest has been made even after three days. The matter became worse when one of the woman attendants opposed indecent talk of bouncer and made a complaint with the security office in the hospital.

According to Inquilab, uncle of the patient Ameer Hasan told that his niece had a fall from roof a few days ago. She was admitted to AIMS. Some family members including his sister-in-law Reshma visited the girl on Sunday.

Bouncers and security guards at the gate misbehaved with them and also made indecent remarks following which Reshma made a complaint to security office but to no avail.

Meanwhile, other family members also arrived at the spot and objected to the misbehaviour of the bouncer following which he called his friends and began fighting. Police also didn’t intervene. Bouncers hit one Altaf Hasan (23) on head. He got 16 stiches. Patient’s father got 7 stiches, his bone was also fractured. Mother of the patient got her finger fractured. Reshma also sustained injuries while her husband Saleem Abbas got 2 stiches.

Lamenting that no action has been taken against the perpetrators, the victims decided to move to Delhi Minority Commission and National Minority Commission.
