All India FIDE Chess Tournament in Hyderabad from Sep 6

Hyderabad: Alwick school of chess Academy will be organizing an open all India FIDE rating chess tournament in Hyderabad from September 6 to 11 2019 to be held at Maruthi Gardens havng a prize money of Rs/ 5 lakhs .

Disclosing here today Karthik Reddy CEO of the Academy said that open chess tournament is open for all from Grand masters to those with a rating of below 1500 . This will be last opportunity for amateurs for chess players below 1500 points to participate. For the first time the first prize winner will be given a car 

The entry fee for the tournament is Rs. 5000 which includes lunch and dormitory stay . 

The Academy is expecting between  500 to 1000 participants from across the country Once registered the pairing of the chess players for first round will be displayed in http://www.chessplug.com and www.chessresults.com before 12 hours of the first round 

The last date for the entry fee is August 14th 2019.Fifty percent concession is being offered for veterans and Physically handicapped. 

Karthik reddy is a  chess champion .He said that the rule will apply as per the Chess Federation.
