Jharkhand: Chairman of Delhi Wakf Board and AAP MLA of Okhla Constituency in New Delhi, Mr. Amanatullah Khan and noted Congress leader, Imran Pratapgarhi called on the widow of Tabrez Ansari and expressed their grief over the lynching incident.
Mr. Khan handed over a cheque for Rs. 5 lakh to Ms. Shaista Parveen, widow of Tabrez Ansari and appointment offer in Delhi Wakf Board. He also promised to provide accommodation in New Delhi.
During his visit, it was revealed that Tabrez Ansari’s uncle, Mashood Alam had taken out Rs. 7 lakh from the account of Tabrez’s widow.
It was also reported that Mashood Alam took Rs. 2 lakh in cash and got Rs. 5 lakh transferred in his account.
When Amanatullah Khan came to know of it, he severely admonished Mashood Alam and asked him to pay back the amount. He also threatened if this is not done, legal action would be taken against Alam.
It may be mentioned that the widow of Tabrez Ansari had brought this matter to the notice of Mr. Amanatullah Khan and sought his help.
Mr. Khan also expressed his displeasure that no Govt. official had called on the widow of Ansari.
