Amidst celebration for air strikes, masjid, Muslim houses attacked in Hapur

Hapur: While the whole country is celebrating India’s pre-emptive strikes on terror camps in Pakistan, some communal elements targeted Muslim houses and vandalised them at Hapur. They broke open the doors of Muslim houses and misbehaved with the women. The communal elements didn’t even spare the masjid of the village. They vandalised the masjid and assaulted the Imam. While throwing the trash inside the masjid, they created a ruckus.

The panic-stricken Muslims anyhow saved their lives and informed the police. Soon top police officials reached the spot and controlled the situation. A woman suffered a fracture in the incident. No arrests have been made so far. While police is trying to trivialize the issue Muslim community is living in the state of fear.

An Urdu newspaper with reference to SNB reported that on Tuesday when the whole country was celebrating India’s air strike, some communal elements attacked Muslim houses at Badnoli village. On receipt of information SDM President Satya Prakash, DSP Rajesh Kumar Singh and police station in Charge Mahavir Sing reached the spot along with the police force and controlled the situation.
