Amit Shah promises to amend CAB

Dhanbad: In the wake of massive protests in the North-Eastern states, Union Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah has given a hint that he would consider some amendments to the bill.

Addressing a rally held at Dhanbad, Mr. Shah gave this assurance.

Mr. Shah told the people of the northern states to have certain apprehensions. He also said that the CM of Meghalaya had met him. Mr. Shah assured him that a solution would be found out after Christmas.

It may be mentioned that the massive protests in the northeastern states have given a big jolt to BJP.

Earlier, its ally Assam Gana Parishad had extended its support to CAB but its leaders have decided to approach the Supreme Court.

CM of Assam, Mr. Sonowal will meet Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah to apprise them of the latest situation in the state.

It may be noted the Assam Students’ Union Congress leader and the leader of the opposition D. Saikya have also filed petitions in the Supreme Court against CAB.
