New Delhi: In yet another incident, a 35-year-old gym trainer was arrested for allegedly shooting a man he had previously worked within North Delhi’s Civil Lines.
According to reports, the accused identified as Lalit Kumar was previously employed by Rahul Gupta (37), at his gym, the Indian express reports.
Police said Gupta had allegedly fired Kumar because of his “unacceptable behaviour with a female employee”.
The Police registered a case against Kumar and arrested him on Friday.
“We were informed about the firing at 9 am Thursday. Gupta was found outside the gym with bullet injuries to his stomach. Two bike-borne men had fired at him and escaped. We checked footage from a CCTV near the gym and identified the accused,” the police officer said.
Kumar sought help from his friend who arranged a pistol for him. He later shot at Gupta while he was in parking outside the gym.
The friend, a minor, was also apprehended later on Friday, police added.
