Another urban forest park opens in city

Hyderabad: The Chief Secretary of Telangana, SK Joshi and Principal Chief Secretary of Forest and Environment Ajay Mishra, inaugurated Arogya Sanjeevani Park at Gurram Guda in Hayathnagar on Tuesday.

The park, which is a part of Gurramguda Reserve Forest, is located 22 km away from Hyderabad. The total area of the reserve forest is 465.00 acres and part of it has been developed into Urban Forest Park with Adventure Sports, Children Play area, Cycling Track, Pathways, Platforms, Public Conveniences, Raashi Vanam, Nakshatra Vanam, Miyawaki Demonstration Plantation, and a Watchtower.

The roads passing through the Gurramguda forest block has divided this forest into three regions – Sahebnagar Depot, Gurramguda Bit-I, and Gurramguda Bit-II. Of these, the Sahebnagar Depot bit has been developed as Sanjeevani Vanam and was thrown open for public in 2015.
