Anti-KCR banners surface at Hyderabad CAA, NRC protest meeting

Hyderabad:  The protest meeting at Shastripuram against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC brought surprise after many protestors carried banners against Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Immediately after the end of Friday prayers at Eid-Gah Miralam thousands of public while moving  towards the public meeting venue, carried black coloured banners written in Roman Urdu saying “Kab Khoon Khaulega Re Tera, Muh Khol Kuch To Bol” (When your blood will boil, open mouth and say something) . Banners also depicted the photographs of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Mahatma Gandhi.

The policemen too were stumbled upon, with the anti-KCR banners surfacing in the protest. Since the protest against NRC and CAA broke out this in last year December this the first time that the public had come openly against the alleged silence of the state government on such a sensitive burning issue.

Many other placards in the protest read as “Steering apne haath mein hai phir ye car galat raste par kyoun jari” (Although car steering is in our hands, then why car is moving in wrong direction”. The police however tried to divert those youths carrying anti-KCR banners but the agitators swiftly moved towards the public venue.
