Anti NRC Flash protests, activist Sheeba released after six hours detention

Hyderabad: Dramatic scenes prevailed at Central Crime Station (CCS) women police station on Sunday night after Golconda police detained the activist Sheeba Minai in a anti-CAA and NRC protest case. However the police released her late in night.

Earlier in the evening sleuths of Golconda police summoned Sheeba to the police station in the pretext of serving a 41(A) CRPC notice in Towlichowki X Roads, anti-CAA and NRC flash protest case, but to her surprise cops informed her that a fresh case of attack on police has been registered against her and she is being sent to judicial remand.

The news of Sheeba’s arrest spread like a wild fire and many senior lawyers and activists telephoned Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Police Commisioner Hyderabad. Senior Criminal Lawyer Mohammed Muzafferullah Khan Shafahat spoke with Home Minister and demanded the immediate release of woman activist, Minorities Commission Chairman Mohammed Qamaruddin to spoke with Police Commissioner Hyderabad Anajani Kumar. The Golconda police released her late in night on furnishing a suriety of a lawyer Mohammed Sohail.

After the release Sheeba speaking with the media told that she is not scared with the police efforts to demoralise her, the movement against black law will continue. She also told that the public fight is not with the police but with the Union Governmnet over the constitutional rights.
