Aruna stuns Congress by joining BJP at midnight

Hyderabad: Senior Congress Leader and former minister DK Aruna , who has shocked the party high command by joining BJP in the middle of the night on Tuesday, has opened her mouth finally. She said she had quit the Congress as she not only felt insulted but also neglected at the hand of the high command leaders.

She claimed that the party high command did not take action on the complaints she lodged against several State leaders of the party. The former MLA from Gadwal Assembly seat also said the Congress party lost a great opportunity to defeat rival TRS party in the State in the last year’s Assembly elections and added that the ruling party could only be defeated by a national party like the BJP. She also said Congress party had been weakened at the State and the national level and had a remote chance to come into power after the upcoming elections.

She said that those who are joining the TRS party were joining it in exchange of money bags and to protect their vested interests. The BJP is likely to field DK Aruna from Mahbubnagar Seat.
