Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and MP of Hyderabad disclosed his next action plan against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019, National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).
At a meeting held at Darussalam yesterday, he told that a protest rally will be organized on 10th January after Friday prayer.
The rally will start from Eidgah Meer Alam and culminate at Shastripuram. The timings of the rally are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10th January.
It is obligatory on the part of every participant of the rally to keep it peaceful.
National flags will be waived during the rally and the slogans of affection and solidarity would be raised.
As Hyderabad City Police did not accord permission for organizing rally in the new city, it is being held in Old City.
Owaisi demanded Modi to withdraw CAA and to give an assurance that NRC will not be implemented till 2024.
He pointed out that in Census, citizenship is not scrutinized but through NPR, it is being done.
He appealed to KCR to conduct Census but put a ban on NPR.
