Hyderabad: Station House officer Asifnagar police station N Ravinder is being trolled by twitterati for his alleged misuse of the official twitter handle for political comments, likes and retweets.
Cop reportedly congratulates BJP MP
The Asifnagar cop caught the attention of twitterati after he reportedly congratulated BJP’s Nizamabad member of parliament Dharmapuri Arvind, for a tweet in which the MP had thanked the public for giving good mandate in the recently held municipal elections.
The screen shots of the official twitter handle of Asifnagar police station went viral on Tuesday. Later SHO deleted the tweet.
That’s not all, the public on social media have a “postmortem” of the whole content of the Asifnagar police station twitter account. To the surprise of many it was found that SHO has reportedly used his official twitter for liking the tweets from BJP. He has also expressed his like for tweets against Chidambaram, Hardik Patel and many more.
Soon after the reported twitter messages depicting pro-BJP stand of the SHO became viral, his attitude had drawn sharp criticism from public. He was forced to delete the content from the official twitter handle.
MBT spokesperson’s reaction
“If the SHO Asifnagar has so much of love towards BJP, he shall use his personal account or join the party openly. The police commissioner is bound by law to initiate disciplinary action against him,” Amjedullah Khan Khalid, spokesperson of Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) said.
