Atlas Cycle owner’s wife found dead, suicide note recovered

New Delhi: Leading manufacturer of Bicycles ‘Atlas’ owner’s wife Natash Kapur was found dead hanging from a ceiling fan of her bedroom on Tuesday.

According to reports, the 57-year-old woman committed suicide and was found by her family members when she did not show up for lunch, Indiatoday reports.

The incident occurred in Delhi’s upscale Aurangzeb lane and the case is being treated as suspicious and was made public on Wednesday.

Sources said the her son Siddhant Kapur called her on her phone but she did not respond to the call. It was after that the members checked on her to only to find her hanging.

The family cut her down and administered CPR. Doctors who were called home ultimately pronounced her dead.

The deceased is also said to have left behind a suicide note in which she stated she was unhappy with her life and took the extreme step.

However, police suspect that a financial motive could also be a reason behind the alleged suicide.

The police are probing the matter since the door of her bedroom was open at the time of death.

Natash Kapur’s post-mortem was conducted at the Ganga Ram Hospital following which her body was handed over to her family.

The post-mortem report is awaited.
