Hyderabad: In an exemplary show of honesty, an auto-rickshaw driver returned Rs 1.5 lakh to its rightful owner who forgot the cash and other silver ornaments in the auto.
As reported by Hans India Syed Mehtab, who runs an auto in SR Nagar handed over cash to the police who in turn returned it to the passenger. The police lauded the good Samaritan.
The passenger a resident of Rehmathnagar was said to be carrying the cash in a bag for shopping for her daughter’s marriage and got an auto at SR Nagar. She left the bag in the vehicle and got down the auto.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the woman the police traced the driver and inquired him. The driver returned the cash which was handed over to the passenger.
