On an average 2.30 lakh passengers travel in Hyderabad Metro Rail daily

Hyderabad: The average daily passenger travel on Hyderabad Metro Rail is crossing the 2.30 lakh mark. On Wednesday 2.60 lakh passengers travelled through Metro. 21,000 more passengers are travelling for the IPL match at Uppal stadium.

As reported by the Hindu, daily about 4,000 more passengers are clambering onto the metro rail trains, currently running from L.B. Nagar to Miyapur of Corridor 1 and Nagole to HiTec City of Corridor 2. L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad has also begun running free shuttle services from Durgamcheruvu station, Gachibowli and environs with 15 minutes frequency.

According to Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy, initially, the L&TMRH shuttle service will be free and pointed out that about 12 IT firms have been running shuttle services from HiTec City and Durgamcheru stations.
