Awareness program on E-Learning courses held at SUES

Hyderabad: Amjad Ali Khan College of Business Administration (AAKCBA), one of the constituent colleges of Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society, Banjara Hills, hosted an Awareness Program on E-Learning, which is organised by the Women Safety Wing of Telangana State Police.

These E-Learning courses are on Cyber Crime and Street Sexual Harassment of Women.

Ms. Swati Lakra, IPS, IG Women’s Safety Wing – Telangana State Police was the Chief Guest at the event. Mr. Zafar Javeed, Secretary, Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society was the Guest of Honor Mr. Aamer Javeed, Board Member- SUES, Mr. Asif Hussain, Chairman- Sakina Foundation and Mr Saeed, Director-Swift Learning Services , graced the occasion.

Prof. Shehbaz Ahmed, Director, AAKCBA, delivered the welcome address and emphasized on the need for more awareness on cyber crimes. He praised the efforts being taken up by the SHE Teams in Telangana.

Ms. Swati Lakra, recently awarded with the Humphrey Leadership Award, spoke at length on the different initiatives taken up by the SHE Teams to curb eve teasing in the state and to make it women-friendly. She cautioned the youth to be careful when using social media sites and stressed on the importance of the privacy settings in all these sites.

She spoke about the HAWK Eye initiative and the E-Learning courses. These courses on harassment and cyber crimes can be enrolled for free and upon completing the course a participation certificate is awarded by the SHE Team.

Mr Zafar Javeed, while giving the Presidential remarks, lauded the efforts of the SHE Team and observed that with women like Ms. Swati Lakra at the helm, Telangana is surely leaving no stone unturned to curb the menace of cyber crimes and street sexual harassment.

The course details were provided by Mr Saeed. He elaborated on the need to open up and contact the SHE teams whenever a crime is committed. The event was a very important step to bring awareness among the youth on the need to fight against cyber crime and sexual harassment.
