Bengaluru: Four Congress MLAs were not present at the crucial Congress Legislature Party meeting in Bengaluru today that has raised quite some rumours among the party members.

The scheduled meeting, however, has begun at 3.30 pm but ended at 5.40 pm, TOI reports.

The four MLAs who did not attend the meeting are former minister Ramesh Karkiholi, his supporter and MLA Mahesh Kumatalli, Umesh Jadhav and B Nagendra.

But according to sources, Nagendra had sought permission to attend court instead of the meeting while Jadhav too informed his inability to attend the party since he could not travel.

While the two other MLAs could not be reached to comment on their absence.

Meanwhile, the BJP MLAs in Gurugram are waiting for the CLP meeting’s outcome before they get orders from state party president B S Yeddyurappa to return to Bengaluru.
