Bengaluru: Police solves robbery atttempt at Samrat Jewels

The robbery attempt case at the Samrat Jewels has been solved on Saturday with the arrest of the kingpin who was hiding in Pune.

The Vyalikaval police arrested the accused Prahalad Chaudhry alias Kailas (30) a resident of Maharashtra, BM reports.

Police reports said the accused had fled the city after the robbery attempt on August 21 and was hiding in Pune but was nabbed after the police received inputs on him.

The accused Kailas is the mastermind behind the robbery attempt. He used to work with jewellery stores in the city. He and other associates, Balaji, a former soldier, Balwan singh, Sriram and Omprakash together hatched the plan.

The accused got the four associates a room in KR Puram and even provided them with the necessary tools to commit the robbery using his money.

The gang later stole two bikes in KR Puram and Vyalikaval to flee the crime scene. He even taught them the how to commit the robbery but he himself did not go to the spot and instead waited for the call to confirm the robbery.

As soon as he learnt the robbery attempt was failed, he fled from the city for pune.
