Hyderabad observes partial Bharat Bandh

Hyderabad: Multiple organizations have called for “Bharat Bandh” on Wednesday against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Registration of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).


With furniture outlets and small enterprises protesting against the newly enacted law, roads across Nampally were seen empty and silent.

Jagdish Market also participated in the ‘Bandh’ with several shopkeepers putting up notices stating that their shops will be shut for the day.

The Bahujan Kranti Morcha in association with the Kurnool JAC for Protection of Constitution has given a call for Bharat bandh on Wednesday against the alleged ‘black Acts’ passed by the Centre.

The leaders asked hotel owners, business establishments and educational institutions to cooperate with them and close their operations for a day on Wednesday to send a message to the Centre that people of the country were not happy with the ‘black laws’ brought in recently. Photo ( Laeeq )
