Bhatkal: Protesters who are raising their voice against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and pan-India National Register of Citizens (NRC) offered roses to cops in Bhatkal, Karnataka.
It may be mentioned that on 19th December, two people died during the protests in Mangaluru. The deceased are identified as Jaleel (43) of Kudroli and Nousheen (49) of Bengre.
After the incident, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the deceased persons.
In entire India, so far 21 people including an 8-year-old child have died in India. In UP alone, the death of 18 people is reported.
