VARANASI: As soon as the Feroz Khan as assistant professor in Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharam Vigyan was transferred, students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) celebrated by eating sweets.

Following this, Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar lashed out on Twitter and wrote, “Blot.”
Students on Tuesday, December 10 concluded their month-long protest against appointment of Prof Khan, after the latter resigned.
Students have been protesting Khan’s appointment on the ground that a Muslim cannot teach Hindu religious texts, which the department’s syllabus includes.
No classes have been held in the Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan department since November 7, the day after Khan’s appointment.
