New Delhi: BJP will hold district-level gatherings and public meetings in three to four states this month aiming at extending its outreach among Muslim women. It will highlight issues like abrogation of Section 370 and the Triple Talaq Bill.
The party has roped in the Mahila Morcha to mobilise women on these two “subjects”. Economic Times reported with reference to senior party functionaries.
A party functionary claimed that both Triple Talaq Bill and revoking of Section 370 were landmark achievements to bring justice to Muslim women. He claimed that the removal of Section 370 will help women to have rights over property and an opportunity for economic independence. They will spread information about the triple talaq law among the local police stations and women.
Mahila Morcha will address gatherings in Jammu and Akrur in Kashmir. Apart from that, meetings of booth-level workers and women will be held in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and in Gujarat later this month.
