Like the British, Modi Govt. fears protest campaigns

Hyderabad:  India has witnessed a period when the editorials of Urdu newspapers, especially those edited by Maulana Azad like Al-ltilaal and At Balaagh, used to create fear among the portals of the British Govt. during freedom struggle. The British had a vigilant eye of Maulana Mohammed Ali Jowahar’s ‘Comrade’ which used to publish editorials against the British.

The same situation prevails now when some elements are making an attempt to take away personal freedom of the individual citizens.

In those days, the British were afraid of the editorials of Urdu newspapers but these days, the leaders in the portals of power are afraid of revolutionary poems.

The other day, police sealed a school run by Shaheen Education Society in Bidar since the students of IV and V standard had staged a drama against CAA, NRC and NPR.

A self styled BJP activist lodged a complaint with police alleging that through this drama, an attempt was made to tarnish the image of Modi.

If the same question is but to a common man whether the image of Modi is being tarnished his reply would be that the image of the people is tarnished when they have good image. He will also say that there is no need to spoil the image of Modi.

According to the report, a case has been registered against the management of the school under sedition charges.

The management of the school blamed that police is not only interrogating the students but also harassing their parents.

It is reported that the students recited the poem of Faiz Ahmed Faiz “Hum Bhi Dekhenge”. The height of matter is that this poem was deemed to be anti-Hindus.

In another incident, stand up comedian Kunal Kamra was imposed a ban by Indigo, Air India, Spicejet and Goa Airlines on air travel for six months.

The reason quoted was that during the air travel, Kunal had heckled the Chief Editor of Republican TV and staunch supporter of BJP, Arnab Goswami.

It may be mentioned that Arnab used to shout during TV programs but in this incident, he preferred to keep quiet.

On social media, people are criticising the Govt. for not imposing any ban Pragya Singh Thakur who misbehaved in the Aeroplane.
