Business team from Tomsk region meets Guv

Hyderabad: Business delegation of small and medium enterprises of Tomsk Region led by Andrey Antonov, Deputy Governor of Tomsk Region, called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Speaking to the delegation, the Governor said India maintained very good relations with both erstwhile USSR and the present Russian Federation on a people-to-people and region to region basis. He said Indians value the friendship with Russia very much and the relationship between the two countries has been built, step by step. He said the cooperation and exchange of trade between the two countries extends from toys to atomic energy sector and said that he was happy to know the visiting business delegation has already signed an MoU with the Telangana government in the medical sector.

The Governor said the Tomsk Region of Russian Federation is having best educational institutions and Universities and that both Tomsk Region and Telangana government can cooperate in education sector and both regions can develop good business and economic relations on a region to region and explore the potential to develop tourism on a people-to-people basis.

Andre Antonov informed the Governor that they can collaborate with India in manufacturing, construction, education, energy and health sector and they are open for different types of cooperation in several other sectors also. He said Indian students are coming over to Tomsk region for studies in medicine and hoped that the goodwill and cooperation between the two regions will prosper in the coming days.
