CAA: After Tiranga Rally, women hit the streets at Mehdipatnam

Hyderabad: 10thJanuary in Hyderabad did not conclude with massive Tiranga rally solely. Unexhausted energetic women, hit the streets of Mehdipatnam again by 9:00 PM, demanding revoke of Citizenship Ammendment Act.

Though it started with around hundred, the protest commenced with more than three thousand protestors, with women seating on the road and men forming a human chain to protect them.

“We are here to stop implementation of CAA-NRC-NPR. We demand resignation of Amit Shah. We value and respect our constitution and we are here till the laws aren’t revoked,” said Khalida Parveen, a social activist.

The Police was ‘all smiles’ when the protestors shouted “Zindabad Zindabad Hyderabad police Zindabad” which was followed by ‘Saare Jahan se Acha …’and the National Anthem.

Protestors made sure they maintained discipline by using decent slogans not including abuses. They also supported a silent protest for half an hour from 11PM – 11:30PM simultaneously making sure they pave enough way for traffic flow.

Ashwin Dubey, a native of Agra said “For me, personally it’s not about CAA. I am overall sick of this government. Be it JNU, mob lynching, economic slowdown”

Water bottles, snacks and Biryani were distributed as gesture of humanity.

Mehdipatnam echoed with ‘Jana Gana Mana’ at 12:00AM.

Other slogans chanted on the ground:

“Hindustan k chaar sipaahi – Hindu Muslim Sikh Esaayi!”

“Awaaz Do – Hum ek hain !”

“Inquilaab-o- Inquilaab -o- Inquilaab – Zindabad- Zindabad – Zindabad !”
