Chennai: The same day when a shooter attacked an anti-CAA protester in Jamia Nagar over the citizenship law, N Ram, Chairman of ‘The Hindu’ was seen on the streets of Chennai for the same cause.
Various organizations and citizens in Bengaluru and Chennai came together to form a human chain on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 72nd death anniversary.
Speaking to NDTV, N Ram said, ” It is something no responsible citizen of India can avoid”.
“I participated in democratic struggles before and this is something we have not seen for decades”
The human chain protest was organized by Tamil Makkal Otrumai Media, a collective of ‘secular parties’ and organizations in the state.
