CAA protest in Saidabad, Moulana Naseeruddin, DJS Chief arrested

Hyderabad: In yet another flash protest in Hyderabad city against CAA and NRC, scores of public gathered near Saidabad cross road and resorted to protest. The police were taken surprise after a large group of protestors including women gathered after the Friday prayers infront of Masjid Ujale Shah at Saidabad.

The protest was carried under the leadership of President Wahdat E Islami Moulana Naseeruddin and President Darsgah E Jihad O Shahadat (DJS) Mohammed Abdul Majid. The protestors were carrying placards against CAA and NRC and raised slogans against the Centarl Government for introducing the alleged draconian laws like CAA and NRC. The protestors also shouted slogans against Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao for his silence over the CAA and NRC issue.

However, the Saidabad police have arrested Muslim cleric Moulana Naseeruddin, DJS President MA Majid and other DJS activists and shifted them to Amberpet police station.  Initially police did not allow protestors to take out a rally near Masjid, later they allowed scores of protestors for a short rally from Saidabad Cross Roads to Government printing press at Saidabad.

“There was no prior police permission taken for the protest, despite police appeal DJS activists have gathered at Saidabad, a case will be booked for violation of police rules” said K Srinivas Inspector Saiadabad police station.
