Canada Consul General meets KTR, lauds TRS programs

Hyderabad: Canada Consul General for Southern India Nicole Girard today called on TRS working president and former minister KT Rama Rao and officials to discuss on trade and cultural relations between Canada and Telangana State.

On the occasion, the former minister informed Nicole Girard about transparent industrial policy in Telangana and other flagship programs. Nicole and KTR have discussed on the possibilities for Canada companies to invest in Telangana. “Our new industrial policy is unique and first of its kind, gives all permissions in two weeks for new business ventures, companies to start their business and provide jobs to local talent. The unique industrial policy of the State was replicated by other States”, KTR said.
KTR also explained about agriculture development, welfare and farmer-friendly programs like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema to provide financial help for crop investment which are being adopted by other States as well as the Centre to the Consul General. On this, Nicole has appreciated the programs for the farmers and welfare for the people. KTR felicitated her on the occasion. Later, Nicole Girard called on Chief Secretary SK Joshi, at the Secretariat. They agreed to work for strengthening relations in trade, culture and other sectors including education. Senior Political Analyst Madhusri Das from High Commission of Canada, New Delhi and Trade Commissioner Vikram Jain, Hyderabad also were present.
