Center decides to increase oxygen, vaccine and remdesivir quota for Telangana

Hyderabad: “The Central Government has decided to increase the Oxygen, remdesivir and vaccine supply quota for Telangana,” the Central Railway Minister Piyush Goyal told Telangana Chief Minister in a telephone conversation.

The Railway Minister also told the Chief Minister that the supply of remdesivir injections shall be increased by 5500 to 10500 from Monday.

“Taking note of Telangana’s need for Oxygen, the Central Government decided to allocate an additional supply of 200 ton of Oxygen,” Piyus Goel told the CM. Goel added that “the Oxygen to the Telangana state shall be supplied from Chittisgarh, Odisa and West Bengal”.

Piyush Goyal informed Telangana CM that Prime Minister Narender Modi decided to increase the quantity of Oxygen, remdesivir and vaccine to Telangana as directed by the High Court to control the Corona pandemic.

The Railway Minister requested the Chief Minister to give preference in vaccination to those who have taken the first dose.
