Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy today said the Centre will come up soon with strict laws to punish the guilty immediately in the cases like Priyanka Reddy murder case.
Speaking to the media after consoling Priyanka’s family members, the Union minister said he will raise the issue in Parliament in two days on the Emergency Response Support system to deal with such cases. “The centre was serious about such gory incidents and will sharpen the existing laws for speedy delivery of justice and punish guilty with iron hand”, he said. He also said he had spoken to DGP Mahender Reddy on the issue. The Union minister pointed out that women in Gujarat move freely on bicycles during midnight and similar situation should prevail in Telangana State too.
BJP State president Laxman sought speedy action. He was joined by Congress leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Duddilla Sridhar Babu and other parties. They expressed shock at such heinous incidents which bring disgrace to the nation. Laxman also slammed the police for late action on the gory incident.
