Chada urges CM to save farmers from monkey menace

Hyderabad: CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today expressed concern that monkeys and forest animals were destroying the crops in several districts. The attack by monkeys was leading to huge loss to farmers, he said.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the CPI leader urged him to protect the interests of the farmers and get rid of monkey menace. The monkeys in groups were attacking the fields and also houses and damaging their valuables, he said. He asked the State government to pressurize Forest officials to check the problem.
