Chanting Yogi Yogi, Akhlaq lynching case accused seen in front row in BJP’s rally

Mob attackers are given VIP position in BJP. An example of which could be witnessed during a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday, 31 March. A prime accused in the 2015 Dadri lynching case was seen seated in the front row during the rally in Bisada village in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida. He was seen cheering the Uttar Pradesh chief minister along with his friends.

According to reports, Vishal Singh was sitting with the other accused in the lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq. According to a report, 16 accused in the Akhlaq lynching case were seen attending the rally which was held on March 31.

50-year-old Akhlaq was killed for allegedly consuming and storing beef in his house. He was dragged from his house and beaten to death by a 200-strong mob on suspicion of eating beef on September 28, 2015. The incident had triggered communal tension in Uttar Pradesh’s Bisada village. Akhlaq’s son was also seriously injured in the incident.

Vishal Singh, son of local BJP leader Sanjay Rana, was charge-sheeted for making the public announcement about Akhlaq from a local temple, the day he was killed. All the 17 accused in the case are out on bail.
