Cloudy day in Delhi, rains likely

New Delhi: Southwest monsoon has remained elusive in the national capital since its arrival on Friday but there are chances of light rains and thunderstorm on Wednesday evening.

Some parts of Delhi witnessed drizzles on Tuesday but the overall rainfall recorded was just 0.3-0.4 mm, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Though there was a dip in the mercury level, the humidity was high on Wednesday morning; it was at 80 per cent.

Maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to be around 36 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, temperature hovered between 28.2-34.2 degrees Celsius.

According to private forecaster Skymet, moderate to heavy rains are expected over Bihar, West Bengal and Punjab.
