CM appoints Vinod Kumar as State Planning Commission VC

Hyderabad: Former MP B Vinod Kumar has been appointed as Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission. Chairman of the State Planning Commission and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday signed the file pertaining to Vinod Kumar’s appointment. Since the State Planning Commission plays an important role in the matters on the State development, an experienced Vinod Kumar was appointed as Vice Chairman.
           

Vinod Kumar, as State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman, was entrusted with an important responsibility by the Chief Minister to review and prepare proposals from all the departments in the backdrop of the government introducing a full-fledged Budget for the year 2019-20.      As the State Planning Commission Vice Chairman, Vinod Kumar will enjoy status of a Cabinet Minister and will be a Permanent Invitee to the State Cabinet meetings and his term of office will be for three years. 


The Chief Minister said Vinod Kumar was appointed as State Planning Commission VC due to his vast experience in politics, administration as well as his knowledge on the socio-economic and geographical aspects of the Telangana State. The Government has decided to utilize Vinod Kumar’s services to the optimal level, the CM added.
