CM confers with officials on “Chalo Tank Bund”

Hyderabad: After the High Court orders, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today held talks on “Chalo Tank Bund Million March” by RTC workers on the 35th day of the strike at Pragati Bhavan.


The Chief Minister discussed the controversial issue of the strike with Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar, in-charge MD Sunil Sharma and other top officials. He took note of RTC workers’ tank bund protest turning violent with lathi charge on the 36th day. The Chief Minister is said to have talked about court directions to hold talks with unions and end the strike. 


KCR also shared his views on the Centre denying to recognize the TSRTC formation, court staying privatization decision of RTC routes until Monday and RTC workers on warpath and support of the Opposition parties. 

The officials said to have informed the CM  that they have bifurcated APSRTC as per schedule 9 and section 3 of 1950 Act.  Though the Centre was not ready to recognize it, the TSRTC exists as per the State norms and would not face any problem, the officials informed. 


 The meeting gets importance as the court got serious on the government,  officials for submitting wrong reports and asked for talks to end impasse by talks. 


The court set aside privatization decision of the State cabinet and posted the case to Monday for a final hearing.
