Hyderabad: A total of 43 government school teachers has been shortlisted by Telangana state education department, who will be honoured at a function at Ravindra Bharati on Teachers’ Day on September 5.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will give away medals and Rs 10,000 to the teachers.
Directorate of School Education said in a circular that the event would be attended by about 1,000 teachers and students.
The 43 meritorious teachers have been selected on the basis of parameters like teaching methods, and overall development of education and educational institutes by their ‘extraordinary contribution’.
Teachers were selected from Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) secondary and higher
secondary schools from the state.
