Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today directed the officials concerned to conduct elections to cooperative societies soon after completion of their tenure.
The Minister held a review meeting with the officials and audit officials and asked them to discharge their duties in a planned and perfect manner. He instructed them to address the complaints received on time and avoid inconvenience and delay. As soon as the tenure of governing body completed, elections should be conducted without any further delay, he added.
He called upon the audit officials to ensure that they complete the auditing works in time and avoid dereliction and set aside nominal works. It is duty of the audit officials to complete their tasks in perfect manner, the minister said. As per procedures all the societies should work in proper manner and serve people, Niranjan Reddy said.
Directing them to conduct inquiry on complaints, the minister said that elections should be held for the societies simultaneously with Hyderabad district cooperative society and others. He instructed the officials to conduct an extended meeting of DCOs after July 10 he said. Cooperative commissioner Veerabhadraiah, additional registrar Surender Reddy and others present.
