NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi are in touch the Aam Aadmi Party the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
According to Hindustan Times report, a Congress leader directly involved in the discussion said on condition of anonymity that the two parties established contact for the alliance talks.
Following the Congress’ top brass approval, the party leadership are in the process of coaxing some leaders from the Delhi unit of the party that are against any alliance. This including senior Congress leader Ajay Maken.

“If all goes well, we will firm up the alliance in Delhi next week before the announcement of the dates for the Lok Sabha elections,” the Congress leader said.
“But the alliance in Delhi is completely de-linked from other states.”
The AAP wants the alliance to extend to Punjab, Haryana and Goa, also to two other states where it has some presence.
The report also says that the two seat sharing formulas suggested at 4:3. The two parties contest three seats each and the 7th would be given to a mutually acceptable independent candidate or a celebrity ie; 3:3:1.
